Buffalobills.com reports the <A href="http://www.kffl.com/team/9/nfl">Buffalo Bills have designated CB Nate Clements as the team's franchise player. "We consider Nate a valuable member of our defense and believe he will play an important role in re-establishing out defense as one of the toughest units in the league," said Bills general manager Marv Levy. "At the same time, we remain optimistic that we will be able to work out a long-term deal with Nate in the foreseeable future."

We can MASSIVELY UPGRADE OUR SECONDARY.. without having to give up antyhing....

why would we pay Law when we wouldn't pay Surtain? I'd take him if he was cheap, but that's the only way.

Because we couldn't afford to pay surtain at the time.. we are in a money confortable situation this year.. we can afford to add a couple pricey FA's.. without major difficulties..

How much is 10 ints worth? Pay the man.
 
Law wants to be paid as the top CB in the NFL. Personally I think he is not. Could you imagine him playing for the Dolphins. Our secondary can't even breathe without getting a flag how would a guy who molests receivers do?

But fact is Law is 32, has had one major surgery. Why would we dish out a whole bunch of money to have him only be effective for a year. He is not worth what he wants.

If you notice, when a team has a true shut down corner they don't get any interceptions. Interceptions has to be one of the worst stats in football. It is basically all a corner is judged by. But in order to get interceptions that means
1) your guy gets open so they are testing your side of the field
2) the QB was under pressure and made a bad throw
