Now it seems like Ryan Tannehill might be back at some point this season. I’m interested if Matt Moore can do enough to keep the Dolphins afloat until Tannehill can come back. Moore has had his moments, it has just been a long time since he has had a chance. They’ll be an interesting team down the stretch.

Huge win/ huge loss for the Dolphins on Sunday. At 8-5 after the rain-soaked victory, Miami is right in the mix for the sixth spot. But if the Fins are to make the postseason for the first time since 2008, Adam Gase's group will have to do it with a whole lotta Matt Moore. Ryan Tannehill is out for at least the next couple weeks -- if not the season -- with a sprained ACL/MCL. As backup quarterbacks go, Moore is top notch. Can he produce against the Jets? Everybody else does.

CBS Sports - 13th

They must play without Ryan Tannehill the rest of the regular season after his knee injury. It's all Matt Moore now.

ESPN - 18th

Ryan Tannehill's season could be over, but don't write the Dolphins off just yet. Matt Moore is 13-12 in his career as a starter (.520 win percentage), which is a better record than Tannehill (.481 win pct.). Moore's last start and win were against the Dolphins' Week 15 opponent: the Jets.

They dropped 2 spots for what its worth. The 8-5 Falcons are 6th, the 8-5 Steelers are 8th, the 8-5 Bucs are 10th, and the 7-6 Packers are 11th.

ESPN, 18th. There are 6 teams at 7-6 ahead of us. Clearly the network still doesn't like Miami.

Considering we are starting our Back-up QB for at least the next two games, I dont think its unreasonable for them to put us there.

That said, **** espn!

Actually, I find that ranking quite impressive. Missing the All-Pro safety, arguably the best CB, all starting LBs, 2-3 OLmen most of the season, seam threat TE, yet, still 8-5 and ranked middle of the league. Throw in the talent Miami had last March and the players learning a new system and the results should impress any unbiased observer.

seems like Miami does well when we don't get attention.

COMPLETELY HAPPY WITH THAT. FLY UNDER THE RADAR!

If we beat the Jets with More, the ranking will rise.
With this media, we could be the 6th seed and still be ranked lower than 16 with teams out of the playoffs ahead of us.

All the more reason to win some more games and prove these guys wrong. We're only 7-1 in our last 8. While I understand the middling rankings, it would be nice to make all our doubters look dumb for a change instead of the usual late season result!

They're treating Miami like a Division leader with a sub-.500 record. Considering our injuries and our 7-1 record in the last eight games this is completely disrespectful in my opinion. But rankings by "journalists" sitting at their desks are pointless anyways. Just entertainment.

Back when Miami was 1-3, I meant to be optimistic in saying that we would probably finish in the 20-25 range. Before the season, and rough start, I predicted 9-7. If you told me Tannehill went down against Arizona, I would have Miami closer to 7-9. It's rarely been pretty, but this team doesn't let up.

Haha.. I'd think we'd be in the top 10. All these rankings are ridiculous.

Maybe I'm just being a homer but we won 7 of 8 games and are one of three teams with realistic wildcard shot. 13 at the very lowest. 18-dude has no clue

TheScore - 15th

The Dolphins responded from a thrashing, edging the Cardinals 26-23 on Sunday. It's hard to believe, but the Dolphins will be fighting for their lives over the next three games. - Srinivasan

We're a middle of the road team, which is way better than I thought before the season. Kind of ****ty that the first year we have a decent shot at the playoffs Tannehill goes down.
