According to profootball talk it is rumored that even though Daunte claims to be ready for the 2006 season opener, he may miss the entire year.

I personally won't be surprised if this is the case, or if he doesn't see the field until November, IMO this needs to be treated much like the Mcgahee injury, i see no problem sitting him.

We shouldn't be trying to win now we need to have a team that wins over a long period of time, IMO if its the best for long term then he should sit.

However we do need to address the backup position, if we go into the 06 season with Berlin or Cleo Lemon were going to have a long season.

yea, he will be ready latest right after the Bye Week :dolphins:

We shouldn't be trying to win now???? Then whats the point of playing. This is one of the dumbest things I've heard in a while.

can't imagine that we would have acquired him if there was serious potential he would miss the majority of the year. personally i would be happy if he started by week 4.

SMOKESCREEN.

You cant believe everything you read. This can purely be smoke prior to the draft. Everyone thinks we are looking WR in round one...others wonder if we will go with a DB. With the new Culpepper news and the lack of any backup other than Lemon...and no knee jerk "trade a second rounder to Philly for their 3rd stringer..." We will now most likely to be rumored to pick up a QB in round one.

I cant believe anything I read 2 weeks prior to the draft.

dude, its a rumor. Like if I were to say that I heard from my friends babies mommas cousins friend who knows a friend that said they know somebody that saw tom brady and jeff gordon making out.. PFT are a bunch of *******es, and its proven time and time again. If it doesn't come from finheaven, or phinatics, the dolphins HOMEPAGE, or even the NFL.com, I don't waste my time.

I have said it in many thread Culpepper will not start this season i say he will miss from 5 to 10 games.. so this is no surprise to me i notice on one of his videos he made practicing that when he pull back to release the ball his face made an expression like he had pain but then again it could be just me looking at every little thing.tell you what i hope we get a good backup.
