I was thinking about perhaps purchasing NFL Sunday ticket for this upcoming season. My only issue is that I only really want to watch Dolphins games.

Does anyone know if there are plans to maybe make cheaper packages that allow you to choose watch only certain teams?

Heres to hoping.;)

Nope i bet there is nothing that they can do for you. They are greedy crooks who dont care about people and just want their money so i wouldnt count on them changing the package just to satisfy a customer

That's right, there is nothing to be done for it. Your options are to pony up the cash, watch the games from a sports bar, or download the torrents after the fact.

Ive had it the past 3 years and cant live without it. If you are in NJ like me or elsewhere, you have to get it (especially this season with no nationally televised games)

Another option is to change your mailing address to a Miami address, or better yet an Orlando address. You will get the local channels which show the Fins games for free and you won't have to worry about blackout if they have one. Just an option...you can always change it back after the season....

That my fried is one hell of an idea but does it actually work? I can't get local channels yet bu when i can that could be a cheaper option. I could not survive through a sunday without Football game that I actually want to watch instead of the Rams/Colts every freaking sunday.

I've heard of people doing this, but you can't be too far away from the area because of something to do with the satelite.

If you are going to do it, pick an area that has the Dolphins every week and no blcak outs. Maybe Ft. Myers?

so, can you actually choose what local channels you want? I could choose miami's local channels even though I live in Birmingham Al?

That would be sweet!!!

not exactly, you can have the address in whatever city, but there are "spotlight" transponders that give the local channels to the local area. i have a chart or map of the coverage areas for the US, but i'm not sure how to link it in here. i will try, though.

Directv has toyed with the idea of making the games pay per view on a game by game basis. This is going to be available in the future. Unfortunately, the price will probably be $20-25 per game. I can guarantee that it will add up to more for 10-13 Sunday games at a per game rate then for the entire Sunday Ticket.
The idea about changing your mailing address only works in a small percentage of cases. A friend tried that to get the Steelers local games only to be told that he would have to fill out the form they would mail him with a copy of his last two years tax return information.(??!!??) So good luck.

Why wouldn`t you want to see how other teams in the AFC East fare every Sunday, not just the Dolphins? I personally like being able to see every game being played.

The ONLY advantage a Canadian NFL fan has is the Sunday Ticket deal we get.

$29.99 a month for 4 months. But if you don't want to order the whole season you can order individual games for $7.99 each...and you don't need a dish,.

You can get full games after the fact on torrents?
