What will owners and teams do now? Start cutting player or wait and see? There is still time to get a deal done.

uh oh, now what???? this is becoming a mess, much like NHL and MLB, if there is no cap after next season, that will really make a mess quickly.

They need to agree, keep the game at the level it is, its the best sport going.

NFL Players Association Executive Director Gene Upshaw told ESPN's Chris Mortensen that the latest talks to bring a new collective bargaining agreement have once again broken down and he again expressed pessimism about a deal getting done.

Upshaw said: "We met today and there's no deal and we're deadlocked. We were supposed to stick around and meet tomorrow, but that's not gonna happen. That's it. I'm headed back to Washington"

The two sides met for five hours Tuesday. When asked if the two sides could still resolve the issue, Upshaw said it was possible, but he there were no more talks scheduled at this time.

In what turned out to be a near-brawl, owners were reportedly throwing chairs and large foreign objects. Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones was reported to have *****-slapped Upshaw, before bleching out a loud "Yo' mama".
 
I say its still posturing. Last Thurs. Upshaw said he was leaving Indythat day bc no deal was close. Fri. morning he was having breakfast with Bob Kraft and others. Hopefully something gets done, obviously.
 
any chance the nfl just gives into the nflpa's wants last minute just to keep the league from becoming crappy?
 
If nothing goes through then now is the best time to have a sharp head Coach to figure out all this and what to do

hey last time we had scab players we went to the superbowl. hmmmm
 
f***ing a**holes cant just play for the money they are getting. this is going to really piss me off if they dont play. if they didnt want to play football they shouldnt have...now they have the audacity to ask for more money when the minimum is more than most of the people on this board make in 10 years.

Dont forget the owners and their revenue sharing BS

As I see it no-one in the NFL is starving, if it aint broke dont fix it, just extend the current deal
