Drew Brees' success should make Dolphins fans angry, writes Charles Robinson

As if the Miami Dolphins didn’t have enough reasons to loathe Nick Saban, this season continues to provide yet another: Drew Brees.

While Chad Pennington has been serviceable this year, Miami fans can only wonder what could have been if Saban hadn’t made the ultimate decision not to sign Brees as a free agent in the 2006 offseason.

let it go

I don't doubt we would have been better with Brees than Culpepper (I was wanting Brees as well), but I wonder how Bress' career would have went with us. I don't think it would have been as good as it is now.

Plus we probably would not have Parcells and company right now and would once again be patching instead of rebuilding.

I agree, get over it. I'm happy Brees is doing well. I'm happy Culpeeper is an armchair qb, and I'm happy we are heading in the right direction.

Nothing you can do now...but it was a big mistake that we just have to live with now. At the time I was actually fine with CPep and didnt think much about what could have been. I do wonder a little now, but you can't change what happened so no use in worrying about it.

If we had Brees our knucklehead wrs would still be droping the footballs.

Hindsight is always 20/20. We should have gone after Brees. In 2006, I was 100% for getting Culpepper over Brees. Knowing what I know now, I was wrong. But I'm not going to pretend I wanted Brees then. I loved Culpepper (still do) and feel he wasn;t given a fair shake in Miami. But such is life in professional sports.
