[h=2]Last year the Miami Dolphins used the transition tag on defensive end Olivier Vernon. They rescinded the tag the day before free agency started.[/h]Today marks the first day of the NFL off-season when teams can begin to assign the franchise and transition tags ahead of free agency. The deadline to tag a player is March 1st. The start of free agency is March 9th.
This season the Dolphins are not likely to use either tag on their in-house impending free agents. Simply put the Dolphins do not have players that would meet the value of the contracts that tagged players can expect.

Your thoughts? :ponder:

Ya I dont see Miami using one. I def think they use an Original Round Tender Kiko tho, No brainier.

Not this year.

The closest option even worth consideration is probably Dion Sims with the transition tag . . . but nobody warrants it.
