I know how these things work, so I can't get too excited about what the NFL Network is projecting right now. While it is comforting to know that they like M. Ryan at #1 as much as I do, we have to take these mocks with a grain of salt. Darn good to hear it though.....

nope..you can blame mike friggin mayock for it too. before and shortley after the combine matt ryan wasn't even in the top 15 then all of a sudden he shoots to top five then top ten without even doing anything to up his draft staus. mike "you have to take a qb with the number one pick" mayock hyped him up big time then he says well he didn't like the fact the kid threw 19 interceptions and it was a big red flag for anyone needing a franchise qb but he goes to miami at number one just cause he thinks we need a qb. no way is this kid worth the 30 mill he will comand. i would rather spend it on somebody we know is going to start for us THIS year not 2 or three years down the road..by then beck may be a great qb for us. we have more pressing needs than a qb who in a draft with lienart,young,rivers or eli wouldnt be able to hold a jockstrap for.
sorry guys i don't care for the all of a sudden hype this guy is recieving and drafting him #1 imo would be a huge mistake and set this franchise back a few years when we are trying to move forward.

I've seen two mocks from NFL Network. Mayock had Matt Ryan going number one overall. Whereas Charles Davis picked Chris Long to go to the Dolphins.

Ryan is not a fanchise quarterback. If they keep the pick it will be Chris Long or Jake Long.
Really? Ive seen him at least in the top 5 since the college season ended on pretty much everyones board.

He threw 19 interceptions in 645 or so attempts, which is not alot of interceptions at any level.

I thought Ryan was top 5 pick before the college season started last year.

I think One of those would do us better,
i mean Matt looks ok, but he seems to be just another beck, i say keep beck, and try for a QB in the later rounds, I would have been chuffed if we had got Anderson, but hes defo a brown still. Chris Long, or Jake Long would be good, a beefed up O-Line would also help Beck or whome ever.

He actually looked pretty good in that youtube clip where he gets hammered. Quick feet getting out of the pocket. Not bad to get rid of the ball there.
If that had been Beck.....First he wouldve had to get the snap without fumbling it. Second, IF he holds on to the snap he wouldnt be as quick in his drop back. Third, he wouldnt have been as quick getting out of the pocket. And finally IF he is able to get rid of the ball before getting hit, the pass wouldve been poorly thrown, and if he dosent get rid of it, he DEFINATELY fumbles on that hit. Clemson scores and takes a huge lead. Then Beck has his first 2 good looking drives of the year after Clemson builds a huge lead thanks to his mistakes, and plays a prevent D and is ready to go home and toke on one.
