NFLDC 2 Round Mock

Wow, just 20 years old for that Okoye kid? I'm about the same age as him, that's nuts. I don't know how I feel about a DT though. Good site though, thanks for the link.

I think he's only 19 right now, he'll be 20 his rookie year or by the draft. Don't hold me to that, but I know he's been 19 this football season.

Interesting choice, although with Rod Wright and Evans still on the roster as possible replacements for Vonnie and Traylor they might go a different route with the first pick.

Rod Wright and Fred Evans are both 7th round picks, one of them coming from IR. Chances are that they'll never be anything more than decent backups (which is quite a lot for a 7th round draft choice). The probability of getting a decent starter that late in the draft is significantly less than 10 percent.

rod wright would have been a first day pick last year if not for the injury he played with and didn't know about. manny wright may also be back in the picture with saban gone. with a bigger need at WR and LB, i hope that DT is not the pick

I hope Meachem falls to us in the second, or at least one of those WRs.

Even with the age of our DL and the many UFA's there's no way I'm picking Okoye over Ginn Jr. Although, they do talk the youngster up quite a bit. I've been reading countdown for 3 drafts now and this is the first time I can remember them over-extending with the compliments. It's hard not to like Okoye after reading what they wrote.

Ryan Harris.

Not bad at all. That is who I had us picking in the second round of my mock picks I posted here last week.

i like the second round pick but im not sure about okoey at all..... i think thats a reach and there are better players at the ninth spot

Since we share the same record with some other teams, I believe we rotate draft picks. We shouldn't have the 9th pick in the 2nd round.

I'm not sure if I buy Okoye as a NT prospect, and I don't believe we need any more DT/DE guys at the moment, especially in the 1st.

As for Harris, unless the staff truly believed that he could be a LT, I'd pass. We're set at RT for years with Vernon.

I hope we dedicate the draft almost entirely to the front seven and the o-line, unless a top prospect falls into our lap that we simply can't pass on.
