Hiya...

Have to say that for a pre-season game, that was a pretty good one. Had a couple of two minute drills, some nice plays, and a bunch of penalties.

I wasn't too impressed with Feeley though....but, its basically the first time I have seen him. We blitzed a lot for some reason, which I dont think is something that is normally done in pre-season games...whether this means we are gonna blitz more this year is still up in the air.

Urlacher had that one hit on Feeley that was probably the bigges hit of the game.

Ferrotte, however, was really impressive. I think he did well against the Bears starters, and even better against the 2nd and 3rd stringers....We have a good defense, but practically no depth so its important not to have any big injuries. Your 3rd string guy played pretty good too..

Why isnt Ferrotte a potential starter? He seems like he is more comfortable AND he was looking off the defenders...something I dont think I saw with Feeley.

Both teams didnt have their number one pick in their, so obviously you cant really compare the RB situation...but I have to say, that Ricky Williams interview at halftime REALLY shed light on his lack of heart. You can tell he is only there for the money. I hope he gets a lot of playing time and you can unload his sorry *** to another team. No way does he deserve to be playing on your team after what he did.

One thing puzzled me. I didnt see anything from Jason Taylor. Yea, its pre season but wasnt he moved into a different position? Our O-Line is, well, not the best but a speedy guy like Taylor should have been all over the place, as well as Zach. Just seemed like a lot of people looked lost or maybe the defense line was not getting any penetration.

David Boston looked pretty well, and while I firmly believe he is a major roid user, might as well use him till his legs go. Booker played fine, but I think you guys need a fast receiver to open up the field...maybe there is one, but for whatever reason he just didnt get open.

Ferrotte was the one who really stood out, I think he should be considered for the starting role.

I was shocked by the passing yards the Bears put up. Rex played pretty good, Hutchinson is too slow, but damm...Orton played great, though against 3rd stringers....obviously the dolphin secondary needs some major attention.

Thats about it....glad no one got seriously hurt, though I have to admit I was pretty stoked about that Urlacher hit.

Lets hope both teams RBs can get signed and in camp where they belong..

Nice post. BTW Frerotte and Feeley have been in a battle for the starting postion and by most accounts Frerotte took the lead tonight.

Frerotte by many before this game was slotted to start the season at QB.

Hey,

Welcome. Hope to see you again during the season.

Frerotte will be starting next preseason game, this was decided before the game started. They basically still do not know who they are starting yet come regular season. Frerotte probably looked more comfortable because he got slightly more t

From a dolphins fan point of view that was very sloppy play. I wasnt too impressed with our team in general except for a few younger players. Jason Taylor was nowhere to be seen but then again this is preseason.

Thanks for stopping by.

thanks angry bears fan . i am a minority here but ricky is a horses *** and him coming back is joke . he is only back just for the money i will take kay-jay harris over ricky . i would love to trade him for a qb or another olineman. your bears are going to do well this season and i like your qbs especially orton. even hutch looked good. bradley man i am telling you what wr, that wr bradlly is going to be a stud at reciever. anyways goodluck

I also thought Gus played well....I did not think Feeley showed much and he should be behind Sage and Brock for the #4 QB spot. There were too many penalties on both teams and Miami's d-backs looked really clueless at times.

Well as far as Wrs go, I like how each one complements each other. As far as speed receivers, we have two, Chambers is pretty darn fast, and Boston can get down that field too. Booker compliments Chambers and Boston, because he knows how to find the soft spot of a defense, and run quick routes in the middle, and he's big, has good hands, the guy can ran after the catch well too. It seems like Boston can run after the catch pretty well, also.

Yea it really was an entertaining game to watch. Usually these pre-season games are just awful!

Trade ya Ricky for Orton.

One thing about Taylor, we were using Vanilla schemes everywhere. The bears on the other hand seemed to use more advanced schemes for preseason. They double teamed, they had pulling guards, they blitzed much more than I have ever seen in the 1st preseason, and I saw more complicated routes from the bears. That is the reason you didnt see taylor getting into the action, we had a mostly basic scheme while it looked like you guys game planned a little. That is also partly why our secondary looked THAT bad, I mean they are a weak spot, but not as weak as it made them look.

Good game and good post, I hope to see more intelligent posters like you here
