Article ranking the coaching hires, nice little tidbit from Gase when's been asked about going up against Seattle

If nothing else, Gase has a blind belief in his ability to lead. In one of his many job interviews over the past two years, Gase was asked by one executive if he knew his personal record against Dan Quinn, the Seattle defensive coordinator who became the head coach in Atlanta. "It's 0-2," Gase responded, "and I'm going to tell you something right now: He's never going to f---ing beat me again."

Little bit of fire no?

I saw this in another thread.

I like this a lot, he takes it very personally.

While the "talk is cheap" narrative certainly applies, I'd rather hear that kind of talk then ****ing Philbin's clueless mumbles...

I love it. It may just be talk but can there be anything else yet. I like the fire, sense of redemption and not forgetting who you owe...

Joe Philbin: "If I had a magic potion, I'd use it."

In any position where leadership is a requirement, and not just in sports, the moment you admit publicly that you are clueless as to what the solution is for fixing a trainwreck situation, your days occupying that position are counted... And its pretty easy to spot in sports because coaches have press conferences after every game.... its never fails! A soon as a coach admits he's clueless, its the beginning of the end.

He's a first time head coach, with no experience. I'm all for breaking the mold but, what other first time head coach has won, recently?
