Trade a second round pick for an INJURED former Pro Bowl QB. Rush said INJURED former Pro Bowl QB back into the lineup. Bench INJURED former Pro Bowl QB after 4 lackluster appearances. INJURED former Pro Bowl QB never returns to lineup and has further surgery on previously INJURED knee. Make comments about not judging INJURED former Pro Bowl QB until he is healthy and gets on the field. Trade 4th or 5th round pick for INJURED (severe concussion) former Pro Bowl QB. Tell one INJURED former Pro Bowl QB that he is no longer in your plans, while handing the other INJURED former Pro Bowl QB the starting job without him ever stepping on the field.

Sounds like the strategy of a team that is ready to challenge the Patriots for division dominance.

I have been more than willing to give Cameron the benefit of the doubt with all of his moves so far, even passing on Quinn and taking Ginn. I didn't mind passing on Quinn as much as I minded actually using the pick on Ginn. This move, on the other hand, is indefensible. You cannot make public comments about Culpepper being given a fair shot to win the starting job, and then tell him the day you complete a trade for a 37-year-old QB that he is no longer needed. Does anyone have any evidence to support the notion that Trent Green will be a good tutor to John Beck???? If so, what is the evidence??? He did not seem to be too thrilled that Brodie Croyle was making enough progress to possibly unseat him as the Chiefs starting QB.

I hate this series of moves at QB.

Its going to be fun to see how "all" of Cam/ Mullers moves play out in the coming months is all I can say. Its time to sit back and watch for awhile and say I told you so later.

The fact that Brodie Croyle is ready after one year, atleast the Chiefs think so, to take over the starting job should be proof that Green will be a good tutor for Beck. Beck will watch Green how he runs a NFL offense, how he recognizes and disects defenses and more importantly, how to conduct himself like a professional on and off the field.

Green does not have a problem with Croyle, he has/had a problem with management.

We've definitely had our share of "QB drama" since the good ole days with Danny Marino haven't we? This is just another episode I guess.

One of these days we'll actually have some stability at the QB position for 3-4 years. I would settle for that. 3-4 years straight with one top 10 QB. A guy that's reliable and you know what you're going to get from him. Damn, I'm starting to sound like a chick who's been jilted a bunch of times. :D

It's getting like "American Idol" or something ... plenty of QBs have auditioned and have tried hard but nobody has made it big in Miami so far. :confused2

I understand you're not happy with this chain of events, but referring to Green as "an injured QB" isn't accurate. Generally once someone recovers from an injury they're not considered "injured" anymore.

I don't understand all the bellyaching around here. One of these moves will pan out sooner or later. I would rather take some chances to improve rather than sit around and lose every year like the Detroit Lions do. We've only had about eight or nine losing seasons in 40 years. I know it has been 33+ years since we have won a SB, but I think Cam and Randy are making good decisions, and at least we won't be snoozing watching the Phins with exciting players like Ginn, Green and others in the lineup. :)

Green doesnt want to sit on the bench at KC at Mia he has a year maybe 2 starting and guiding Beck. Will he be a good mentor, I dont know. Cam knows Green so I would have thought he has a rough idea. I think Cam might be more influential anyway.

Signing INJURED players is a risk, Saints did alright last year though didnt they so its not always a risk that goes wrong. I also wouldnt consider Green injured anymore.

I like the move. Makes us competitive this year while Beck is groomed.

Well I'm guessing he believes that once you suffer a concussion you are pretty much injured for life.

Either way he is reciting invents that happened over two different regimes, which is a bit unfair. Then again Camron's treatment of Daunte has been unfair too. Pretty much everyone presumed Cam was lying when he made assurances to Daunte and media about not making a decision on someone without first seeing what they can do while healthy, but to actually see the truth is a bit disheartening.

Cam and Mueller definitely saw something in Culpepper that led them to believe he was not going to be the guy. I agree with you. It was time for them to take a chance rather than risking a repeat performance from DC. I seriously believe we would have been in the same boat with him as last year. At least this way we will have a QB who will be healthy and will have knowledge of the offense at the start of camp.

Very well said!

Well, I was never for Daunte coming to Miami to begin with. But I have to say I do feel bad for the guy. I think Saban ruined him! I feel he is somewhat getting a shaft and he has put hard work, sweat and tears into his rehabilitation. I do wish him well now and will be rooting for him to make some sort of comeback!

As for Green, I think it helps us get through this year and helps us compete in the AFC. It also grooms Beck our future starter! I think all and all it was a pretty decent move.

I still don't understand why DC needs to get cut before we see BOTH he and TG with the pads on and see how they do. Both guys have their share of question marks, why not see them both play before getting rid of either of them?

It seems we have put all of our eggs in the TG basket, we'll see if they end up being "scrambled" or "sunny side".

If it pans out Cam/Ran, he will look like geniuses, and you will look like a ..........................

WE HAVE TO WAIT AND SEE....im a big CpEP fan.....it pains me to know he's done here.....but Green is a very good QB that knows Cams system...he may be better suited to teach Beck the ropes.....when its all said and done.....this move is a win now move that will buy us 1-2 years for Beck....the regime will be graded on Beck....period
