Agreed The Winning Would Eventually Have Came Sooner Or Later The Mentallity Would Have Changed And The Games We Played Hard Might Have Got Us Atleast 6 To 7 Wins. At Best... But Pennington Was The Big X Factor In All The Moves Done So Far To Improve The Team . He Came To Mimai To Prove A Point And Prove The Doubters Wrong,.
 
Nice find, but I wouldn't qualilfy it as a 'nice write-up' at all. Once again, for some reason, these fools with the title of 'sports journalist' are attributing our success this year to 'luck'. We 'caught a perfect storm'???? What the hell does that mean? When the Patriots shocked everyone and beat the Rams in the Super Bowl, did they 'catch a perfect storm' too?

It's really mind-boggling. Is there some type of conspiracy against this franchise that I have been unaware of in more than 30 years as a fan?

On ther other hand, I will say that as much as I am happy to read something positive about the dolphins for a change I am just as tired of hearing (even in this article) of the dolphins success being written off as the effect of a soft schedule and luck.
 
It does feel like a lot of things fell in line for the fins this year.
even last week..... being 55 degrees in NY in late December.
This might be a team of destiny.
 
A quick look at the Raven's 08 season shows that they had a relatively soft scheule too. I think a win for us this weekend goes a long way in gaining the respect we deserve. Go Fins!

Why doesint Ireland ever et credit. It is like hes not even on this team. Was it not him and Sparano who wnted Jake and Parcells wanted Chris. Parcell is a big part is a big part at the start of it but i really believe it is Ireland ad Sparano that deserve all the credit.
 
I disagree with the luck sentiment. Hard work and persistance is not luck. You work at not turning the ball over. You work toward getting a first down when its 3rd and long. You work at getting your special teams much better when they sucked in the first half of the season.

They all miss the point. They worked very very hard to get where they are. Thats why good teams are consistant and others fall by the wayside. They dont put in the work. Chad Pennington does and he is a leader. He made others believe and then they put in the time and effort. It rubbed off.

As far as the schedule goes for next year. If they continue to work harder with more talent at their disposal, then we will become great and beat many of those teams on our schedule. Thats it in a nutshell.

Parcells has always rebuilt D first.

You seem to miss the much BIGGER issue.

Most in BPs position would just get what they wanted no matter what others thought(jerry Jones). Bill did NOT seek to hire "yes men". He was willing, open and encouraged differing opinions.

He was true to his quote..........
“If they want you to cook the dinner, at least they ought to let you shop for some of the groceries.”

Thus came Jake!

Don't forget Bill used discount coupons to get Ferg, Akin and Fasano.

From the scratch and dent aisle HE got his former first round pick, Sunshine.

Bill tore up JTs dance card so Porter goes to his natural position with a rejuvenated attitude.

But most important he brought Miami a TEAM mentality from top to bottom!

I am not saying that Parcells should not be given all this credit but i belive some of these mid season pick ups are Ireland and I believe when Parcells leave we will be in good shape beacuse of this guy. I believe tha Parcell came here started it and then said Ireland and Sparano make it grow.
