Did you watch the Cam Cameron and Randy Mueller press conference? Cameron said Muller made the pick. Mueller will be the fall guy if Brady Quinn is the next Tom Brady and John Beck is the next Ty Detmer.

If Nick Saban stayed he would have fired Mueller and drafted the franchise quarterback. Coaching wasn't the problem in Miami. The problem is the personal department.

The Dolphins will pass on a franchise quarterback next year because they don't know what they have in Beck because 37 year old Trent Green will be starting.

Oh BTW Mike Vick will be playing in his seventh year in the NFL this year and will be the same age as Beck. Cam loves his old quarterbacks.

Mike Vick should get his butt kicked for treating dogs the way he does.

As for being a football player, he never really lived up to all the hype, imo.

I will put it another way. How good would Vick have been if he was playing in college last year? Beck was a grown man playing against kids, but it didn't look like he was grown man playing against kids.

Mort on ESPN said that the reason why Saban passed on Santonio Holmes last year was because of how good he though Ted Ginn was.

ummm, nick saban would have drafted quinn, quinn woulda stunk without a oline and saban would jump ship.

Yeah, I am starting to see that too.

That's why I'm glad Saban is gone. Brady Quinn supporters can sit here and pretend you know that Brady Quinn is going to be a franchise QB but you would doing just that, pretending. I don't mind anyone expressing their opinion but a lot of you are acting like you sat down and studied film like Cameron and Mueller. I just hope that if Ginn goes on to have a great career for us and, Brady Quinn flops with the Browns that you'll man up and say you were wrong.

Beck spent 3 years on a religious thing. I'm not saying he would've been better than Vick by any means. You should factor in the 3 years (in all fairness) if you're going to use his age against him.

amen finsfan4life, your name says it all.

all these guys names are "quinn1" and no wonder their pissed off, they talked the last month bout how great quinn is and going to be when they were just regurgitating material that they read on the guy. but obv the front office knows more then we so im like you, sit back relax and see what cam does with this offense. i guarantee you it will score more then last year. thats a promise. and the defense looks yummy too.

Well with the Beck pick, we could have drafted a much better center in Kalil .. And with the Satele pick we could have gotten another o-lineman ..

So your point is moot.

this is true. he is not beat up. Not to in any way compare Beck to any of these guys, but look at Warren Moon. He didnt get a start until late in his career (age wise) and he made the pro bowl at 40. Favre. Gannon. Marino. All played/playing well into heir thirties. Steve Young even played a while with nine concussions or something ridiculous. And let's get real, Beck played at BYU. It's not like he was getting beat down every saturday playing in the SEC or something. The guy will be fine. Franchise? Only time will tell and until then you all (including me) know nothing of how Beck will perform as a pro.

And stop comparing Brady Quinn to Tom Brady just because their names both possess the word "Brady" in them. Quinn is barely a rookie. Brady is a championship quarterback. I honestly don't understand where the comparisons come from.

Yeah, Saban would have drafted Quinn, and in about 3 years he might be ready for the Pro System... I trust Cam and Mueller know more than I do, and most of the folks on this board. I'm looking forward to Cam's Offense once finally built!

:) I was thinking that same thing.
