4. You never want to go nuts about what you see in minicamp. But with that said, Daunte Culpepper looking mobile and strong-armed in Florida last week was a big deal.
Culpepper is coming off surgery to repair ligaments in his knee. His brilliance and fluidity in mini-camp was documented in great depth and detail in the Miami Herald.
Dolphins fans can close their eyes and start to fantasize about Culpepper playing on opening night against the Pittsburgh Steelers. You can envision the quarterback hooking up with budding star Chris Chambers, Marty Booker, and Randy McMichael. It's easy to imagine Culpepper getting time to throw the ball behind the brilliantly coached Hudson Houck offensive line. You can paint a picture of Ronnie Brown having a breakthrough second season in the NFL, as defenses must respect the Dolphins passing attack.
And we haven't even mentioned Nick Saban's sheer brilliance and teaching.
I really like the Dolphins as a playoff team this season.
