Niners Name Starting QB... What About Us?

Well the 49ers announced today that Tim Rattay will start opening day. I think Saban should name a starter this week. Either Gus or A.J. is gonna need the reps.
 
Funny how that works, everyone around here would have wanted A. Smith to start for us..At least the niners know that a 1st year guy will take a year or 2.
 
if nick came out and named a starter this week, that guy would suck *** in the tampa game and the backup would look great....we can't win for losing.
 
The reason is that Alex Smith has sucked and it's obvious he's not ready to start. Rattay is gonna do a darn good job, considering the talent around him he won't look great but he'll be one of their better players. Our QB situation shouldn't have been slanted towards Gus so quickly, and in either case it's a tougher decision.
 
how lovely....the 49ers pay Alex Smith all that money and he doesnt even start. What if Tim Rattay turns into a stud?? Its gonna be like the Phillip Rivers/Drew Brees conflict. Id feel terrible if my backup made more money than me....if i was Rattay, id quit...

People might hate me for saying this, but we might be in a position next year where we are looking at Rattay at QB. I don't wanna go into detail, but it's not out of the realm of possibility.
 
I haven't seen that official yet? anyone have link? I do believe its still early and they could go with either!

MAIN POINT Though: Why the hell do we care what SanFran does? This is the Miami Dolphins! I don't care what anyother team in doing, what makes them right?

Ok so its a little far ahead, but, say gus does bad but we cant bring in a FA qb thats as good as him. Then lets say since gus sucked we did bad got the #1 pick drafted Lienart. Do we start the inexperianced rook over Gus.. very hypothetical but its simalar to their situation (in a way) and wanna see what u guys think about it.

I don't want us to have the number one pick and draft Leinart just because I don't wanna deal with the holdout that ends up giving a rookie the biggest contract in NFL history.
