just watched nfl total access. Nnamdi Asomugha was talking about f/a and what i think he was saying was, if a team comes up with a great offer im off.

was it just me , or did anyone else think that.

could we still go after him even if he is taged?
Yes and it will cost us not only a huge contract but two first round draft picks unless we can somehow get Oakland to sign him and then trade him to us for a pick and player(s).

He's not going anywhere. I hate it for the guy. Honestly there are some players I want to see great things for, and, he's one of them. I hate that the Raiders have him.

just me. but lets do it, first pic no 25.
and we have 2 2nd round picks.

and next year we might be just as good.
another high draft pick .

i think hes worth it.

you have to take a chance in life. its to short.

It's not only the draft picks but the contract he will demand. If Assante Samuel received $14 million last year, can you imagine what it's going to cost us to sign Nnamdi Asomugha. The thing is...he'll probably be worth it for a team that's still rebuilding.

they tagged him last year right? Now Im not sure of the specifics but didnt he have a clause were they cant tag him again? Sorta like Albert Hanyesworth

No. He should have but I guess he nor his agent thought of it.

AHH...and yea I dont see the Raiders letting him walk easy...He was lights out last year....he was thrown at like 27 times and only had 8 passes caught against him

They may not tag him. It will probably make him mad and just about guarantee that he won't re-sign with them. They would be stuck paying around $10 million to a guy that will be gone the next year. Their only hope of keeping him is by not tagging him in my opinion.

That's just like Al Davis....Planning for the future.

They tagged him last year and no team bite so he ended up accepting their offer which paid him over $9 million for the season.

One of the reasons the Raiders released DeAngelo Hall was because they wanted to make a long term offer to Nnamdi and franchising him is their way of assuring they received something for him if they are not able to agree on a deal.
