No Fire?!

After reading an article with comments from Yeremiah Bell it seems that the defense didn't come out with the fire or the fight to play against the Patriots. Of all teams that you would want to perform well against AND on a Monday night!? What is going on!? Did the defense think they would automatically continue where they left off last season? I hope they can get this fixed and quick! Thoughts?

Here's my glass is half full take on things. Had the Mia defense come out and played outstanding and lost because the offense sucked, couldn't move te ball and Henne looked terrible, we'd all be jumping off buildings. It's a MUCH better situation that our offense played well, Henne looked great and the defense had their heads up their butts against the greatest QB and coach in the game. I have more hope after that game than I thought going in. I don't think our defense will be owned like that very often.

I keep hearing about the hurry up offense the Pats used, if the Dolphins defense would have had a few three and outs..that hurry up offense would've backfired on them.

They were running the plays that Nolan called, but the fact is Brady will eat you alive if you cannot get pressure.

We didn't get pressure, so he ate us alive...Tom Caughlin will tell you that and so will Rex Ryan, you stop Brady with pressure...

yeah, and the pats defense is pretty good. I think it gets better on offense as we go.

Brady had our defense on our heels with hurry up which creates confusion throughout the game. You wont see that again for a while. As season goes on, things change and matchups are completely different. Its why I hold my head high.

This defense will turn it around. It was a wake up call. but we need to draft more top notch CB's next year. cus sean smith blows.

Regardless of the moaners, this is a good football team, a real good football team. The defense blew my mind but just the same, they will be veeeeeeeeeeeeery pissed off against Houston.

There are not many teams that can stop Tom Brady when he is hot. Henne had a career night so what do they do ? Knock the running game when we do not even have a legit running back in the game. LMAO. Bush is not, never was, nor will he ever be, a ground em out type running back. Thats IF he stays healthy all season. If I am not mistaken, he has missed something like 24 games in the last three seasons. Even more reason to get a legit running back in here without the name of Rickie and Ronnie.

thats tough to do in a hurry up offense. you cannot change packages. you wont get to brady under those circumstances. thats why BB is BB. They had this in their game plan weeks ago.
