Kevin Lerner, of the Sun-Sentinel, reports it appears the Miami Dolphins are out of the running for free agent WR David Givens (Patriots). Considered one of the top wide receivers on the free-agent market, Givens reportedly is seeking a five-year deal in the $25 million range, a demand the Dolphins aren't expected to meet.

I also read that he might just re-sign with the Pats... We need to get the QB issue done so we can shift our focus on other places...

this is kind of like the Kevin Carter situation. We aren't willing to offer him the money he wants, he is rumored to be resigning with his former team, but in the end comes here.

Not saying that is what's going to happen, but from what I've heard, he does like Miami a lot.
