There will be no high school football on tomorrow night in Minnesota. It is MEA weekend and the week before playoffs so all games are played on wednesday night with the first round of playoffs starting on tuesday.

MINNESOTA SHOULD THEN BE GETTING THE GAME. Right?

Minnesota won't be getting the game.

I know that, OBVIOUSLY. But we should. If the only reason is because of the HS games and there are none, well then.

It is up to the NFL whether games are shown or not. If your local CBS station can prove to the NFL that there isn't any HS games being played, they may get permission. Don't get your hopes up though, I don't know how that stupid rule works.

apparently, by airing the games at all, it is a violation of the law (PFT article)

what about those poor high school teams playing in the miami and KC areas?

they show HS football games on tv there? CBS? are u serious?

Where I'm from, high school games are on tape delay. They are shown on tuesdays from a state-owned local channel. CBS airs high school games in some states. D@mn, now that's prime time.

It has to do with the antitrust ruling against the NFL, not specifically HS or college football...

It's not that they show HS games on CBS. It's that the NFL game that they would show on CBS would compete with the HS game they play on the local channel.
