I just read the latest power poll from Fox Sports and even after the Green trade they have Miami ranked 27th. Do you think there's only 5 teams worse than us in the NFL? I don't think so, how about you?

27. Miami Dolphins  And so it goes, the Cleo Lemon era is over before it even began. Oh well. In comes Trent Green (finally) as the quarterback for one of the more curious teams in the entire league. Green reunites with one of his former mentors in Cam Cameron, and already knows the entire Dolphins playbook. But what to make of this team? If the Dolphins were to go 10-6 and sneak into the playoffs behind Green's arm, Ronnie Brown's legs, and that top notch defense  few would be surprised. Then again, if they came out, stumbled out of the gate, went 4-12, and secured a top-five pick in next year's draft  no one would be shocked either.

I don't think 27 is accurate....but what he said is pretty much right on

Until we actually do something positive on the field, we will continue to get no love nor do we deserve any love from the national media.

let's do it, surprise some of these wanne be experts! every year there are 2-3 teams that surprise, last year the jets and the saints, why shouldn't we be the team that surprise this year!!! :cooldude:

Agree. I think we are totally in the "unknown" bracket. We can suprise and step up and win games but if our O-Line doesnt gel and we cant make drives and our D gets tired then we can fall on our faces.

I'm envisioning a season somewhere in the middle. Joey Porter adds a bit of bite to the defense, and for all the criticism Miami got for taking him  Ted Ginn's going to be an explosive NFL player. When it's all said and done, though, Miami's not a playoff team in '07.

sure, the number is low but the piece he wrote is very positive. i was especially surprised to him give Ginn some love. there's very little of that going around in the media.

I think his analysis is pretty good. Although of course I don't like having to scroll all the way down the page to see us beside the number 27. But maybe being the underdog isn't such a bad thing...

Lets keep in mind we were the pick of a lot of "experts" to go to the superbowl. Nobody knows what is going to happen next year. Sure, some teams are better than other on paper, but that is not indicative to their actual performance on the field when it counts.

Whos picked us to go to the SuperBowl??? and you say alot? I will be happy if we can just make the playoffs. 5yrs is too long.

It's exactly what i stated in my thread. 9-7 is realistic but we could easily be a team that goes 10-6, as long as the QB and the o-line plays well from the get go.

I don't have too much problem with his analysis. But, his write-up doesn't match the ranking. He says that he thinks we're somewhere between 10-6 and 4-12. That would be 7-9. Does 7-9 really put you at #27?

Agreed, we are a better team then the Jets Offensively and Defensively, and our defense is alot better then the Saints, but our O does not compare to theirs, so why is it not possible to have our season turn around this year. I believe 10-6 minimum, now that I think about it a little more.

I am in agreement with what someone else said. The guy is dead on with his analysis . . . however u don't rank a team who wouldn't be a suprise to go 10-6 at #27. Late teens to early 20's is a better ranking.
