I would agree with what you say but owners could care less about 99% of the players, there is no loyalty with these relationships. That's why these types of things happen. Was Don Shula ready to retire, do you think Dan wanted a blowout to be his last game? Players need to demand what they can when they can, he just wants what is fair market value. Unfortunately it is apparant that a quality RB just isn't as important as it used to be. Just ask Edgerrin or Shawn Alexander.

Let the guy make his money because he might not get another chance. He said he is at home training and learning the playbook.
 
Unfortunately we live in a world where money talks more than the job. Especially in pro sports. Ronnie and his agent are only doing what they have been allowed to do by working the system. The NFL really needs to get their act together and maybe sort out a capping system for rookies. They have done it at team level and it works. To pay rookies inflated wages when they havnt proved themselves is wrong IMO but i understand why they are getting the big buck contracts.
We are on pre season game nite and no Ronnie Brown. I wonder if Ronnie will speak up and say what hes doing cos i know there are alot of ppl that have been totally left in the dark with whats going on. I for one. I hope Ronnie was watching and listening to Dan Marinos HOF speech and the guy might realise this isnt just a big dollar sign and bright lights. Its a way of life for the average NFL player, the coaches and above all the fans. Someone give him a tape of Dans speech and ask him if he wants to be known as a team player or a just another "i am" guy. Lets hope its the first one.
 
i tried to delete lol...just decided that its game night...plus there have been a million threads on this where what i ******* about has probably already been said. im just sick of it already....

I still got mad love for Ronnie Brown.

He's already my favorite Dolphin. I'm just waiting for all this contract shinannigans to get cleared up.
