No, no Fin Fan is Happy Today

I, for one, will do my best to wish they get blown out as it seems to be the only thing that forces Ross to change things, and change has to occur. Winning 7 games is meaningless and would keep things status quo. As a lifelong Dolphin fan, with over 50 years of being a diehard fan, I have earned this take.

Once the game starts, my sentiments always lean towards wanting them to win; I can't change that. However, when the scoreboard reveals the reality, losing becomes almost expected and hurts less. I know in my heart that another horrific season is imminent, and I do think that changes will be made. It wouldn't be surprising if the wrong changes are made again, but something needs to occur.

For those who say to switch teams, I want to, but I can't. I am in Philly territory, and the switch would be easy, but the heart is where the heart lies. So, if I could fast forward to the season's end, I want one win, a new GM and coach, and bid a farewell to Tua. That would be my dream scenario. There is no chance, zero, that this team will reach the playoffs, so extreme measures need to be taken to facilitate change.

Just my take, one game I know, but I have seen this all before, and we've regressed badly.
Nothing short of Ross hiring a Belichick or Brady can make the Dolphins NOT my team. I actually tried once too...didn't come close to working.

I tried switching teams last year, didn’t work emotionally. But I can root for us to lose to try and get higher draft picks
Be careful you’ll get crushed by some on this forum saying you’re not a fan. I justify that by saying I’m on here just about every day, multiple times per day and haven’t missed the game in probably 30 years. Change is needed and the only way I see Ross doing something about it is a one or three win season.

Not a fan...understandable but if you have a difference of opinion than the homers on this site, you will get BAR B Q'd!

Hill may be tradable, but we will not get anything of value in return for him. And while that cap hit wouldn't be devastating, it still would be pretty big.

The way Chubb's contract breaks down, there is literally no benefit to trading him until next season.

And we're stuck with Tua until the end of next season. He is untradable with his contract, and who would really want him? Even QB needy teams like New Orleans aren't going to touch him.

Like it or not, he's ours for the foreseeable future. We can't cut him and we can't trade him. But that doesn't mean we have to start him. I wouldn't bench him for Wilson, but if there comes a point where the team thinks Ewer is ready, I say let him start and let Tua be a ridiculously expensive backup.
Agree. Its Ewers time. We know what Tua is and what he isn't. There are no playoffs this year and we certainly don't want to see Milfy ever throw another pass for this team. Throw the kid in. Let him take his lumps and see how he responds. This way at least we know if the kid has a future as a starter or a number one backup. If neither, then we send him packing next year along with a lot of other bums.

I'm right back where i was towards the end of the Tannehill era. Hopeless and bored. I'll be watching a ton of RedZone this season.
The saving grace is RedZone, and Fan Duel and/or DraftKings, whichever you prefer. Might as well make a few shekels while we await the regime change and next QB.

I completely lost my enthusiasm many times as a fan. This is just another point in the cycle.
Rube Goldberg Win GIF by Millions

Definitely an endless cycle the past decades.

McDaniel and Grier can't do that. They are fighting for their jobs. If they can squeeze 7 or 8 wins out, then they can try to explain to Ross about injuries or some other nonsense. This is why they need to go. They are not concerned for the long term health of the team.

Meh still think Miami just has one of the most dramatic fan bases around. I get it they sucked and there was almost 0 positives but still week 1 is almost always whacky and an awful way to judge teams. Yeah maybe they suck maybe they are really this bad but the same way we’ve tended to start out seasons hot only to fade come late season if you went by how they looked first few weeks we’d have multiple superbowls by now. Let’s wait a few more weeks before everyone freaks out.

It's not that fact that it's only one week. It's a carry over of the Grier/McDaniel regime. It's not just one game. It's what we saw last year and all offseason and all of the decision making over the offseason that just didn't make sense.

Getting reps against other teams in real game action is super valuable. If that were to happen I hope our OL doesn’t get him killed.

Well, if Ross could gather up his shriveled-up cojones, he would order Ewers to take the helm!

Who the **** switches teams? I never have and never will. No matter the circumstances.
I had a bad feeling about this season, and yesterday made it look even worse than I could have imagined.
Will I switch teams? **** no.
There is a reason that I did not renew the Ticket this year. I finally made a good decision. After all these years, I just said NO.
It was partially a financial decision. And one based on my previous experience with the Dolphins. It just didn't feel right, and I know that feeling well.
Thank god I found a way to stream and it's great. Not 4k video, but better than $400 a year for the ST.

I'm very unhappy with the product they have put on the field. Though I will never stop being a dolphin fan and rooting for them to win. Just got this empty feeling right now.

Like I said, an earlier post not throwing in the towel just yet but I am holding the towel

Let's kick New England's ass

If we cut Tua, it's over $112 million in dead cap this season, and over $62 million in dead cap next season.

There is ZERO chance of him being cut.
This is right!

Yesterday was a sad example of being out coached at every level and not having this team ready to compete. There is no excuse for that. We are tied to Tua for another year or two. That doesn't mean you can't draft a replacement, but we certainly can't afford to cut him

We have way too many offensive weapons to be as bad as we showed yesterday.....that is on coaching. You make a change at GM / HC and start there. If Tua can be successful in a different offense.....great, if not, you move on when his contract is more favorable to us.

It was like watching a J/V team out on the field yesterday, no excuse for that
