Before the draft i was almost 100% sure we would go CB, NT, OLB in no specific order. but we only drafted CBs from what i believed were team needs. but like i said I believed those were our team needs. remember most of us here arent there to see the team practice and we have no idea how good Wake is nor T.McDaniel really are. i know Mcdaniel isnt a true NT but we never know if our FO sees something in someone else on our team. we all know parcells would not draft bad, he is a mastermind at this. so lets jsut be confident with this draft and wait until pre-season or the reg season before we start bashing these picks. and also keep in mind we should be signing Taylor so maybe thats a stop gap for next yrs draft. who knows but lets just be positive.!!!

OLB never was a high priority on my Phins wish list. We have guys with talent at least there so I never understood why so many people wanted to use our 1st rounder on a guy there when CB and WR were our most glaring needs IMO of course. I couldn't be happier with Davis and Smith, Turner hopefully turns out nice too but Hartline I just don't get. Pat White is a weapon that can be used in several ways so I'm fine with that pick also even if he was taken a little too high. As far as NT idk, maybe they see something in Solai???

Either Mcdaniel or Joe Cohen will be the pet projects for the team to craft them into NTs. As for OLB, we haven't cut anybody yet from last season, so there were a lot of players there and with the addition of Cam Wake, it shows the FO is looking in a different direction. We finally have young depth in the secondary and they have great potential. The play of the secondary was very sporadic last season. I like the draft as a whole except for the last 2 picks. Honestly this draft was very weak. Plenty of picks in day 2 where I had never heard of these players early on whereas in past years it took till atleast the 5th and 6th rounds to not know many of these players.

I think coaches are comfortable with Wake at OLB. That is the only logical explanatjion for not drafting one. Regarding NT, I was kind of shocked as well. I figured we want to groom someone behind Ferguson. I do not think Solia is the answer.

I believe the moment that NE drafted Brace, the Miami draft plan sort of ended. I believe that they wanted Brace and Smith in the 2nd with White either in the 3rd or possibly to draft up. Once Brace was gone, they got White more earlier than they
wanted, along with everyone else - one round earlier. Turner's not a legitimate 3rd and Hartline's not a 4th. One round later, possibly, yes. Plus, I also think that once NYG jumped and drafted Barden, that's why we took Turner at that point. To get the next biggest WR because of their earlier run. What do you think? Although to be honest, NONE OF THIS REALLY MATTERS ANY MORE. Let the FO work with what they have and I'm sure we will develop for the better.

I'd have puked if the Dolphins drafted Brace. He will be gone from memory in three years. He is the most obvious bust I've ever seen. The cheaters got what they deserved with that pick. Butler and Vollmer will be good though.

I think OLB was not a priority, we have Roth on its second year at OLB, Anderson shows a lot of potential, Porter is a beast and Wake should surprise a lot of us this year. I think ILB was the position we could upgrade, but if White becomes a force on offense then I won't be complaining of not making a move to draft Malauluga or Lauriniatis.

That being said, NT is still a Huge need, but maybe Cohen is the solution. (I know Soliali is not!! I don't understand why he is still on the roster) So unless Cohen is solid as rock, I think we will add some veteran NT to backup-help Ferguson.

Aside from not constantly getting pressure on the quarterback our front 7 was very solid last season. We got a lot better in the secondary which will force QBs to hang onto the football longer, allowing our defensive line more time to get at the qb.

Next season should be the first draft that there won't be glaring holes. Yes we need a NT but aside from that it'll be all depth players unless we lose one of our key guys.

I disagree,

Look at the games against offensive titans such as the Seahawks, 49ers and Chiefs. We couldn't TOUCH their QB's the entire game and they shredded us a part. I thought our secondary really turned it up the second half of the season, especially Andre Goodman (who's now gone), if it wasn't for that i'm not sure this team would have made the playoffs. This team HAS to improve in the front 7.

I think our NT of the future is already on the roster, dont know it its Cohen or Solai, but Im g uessing it's one of them. Other than Fergs replacement we're fine on the D-line...it's the linebacking coprs that needs to be upgraded. We are solid in the middle but lack a big playmaker. I dont think Malaluga would have been the guy either. We need Porters replacement (im guessing thats Wake) and someone to replace Roth. With the secondary addressed I think we're only 1 big play Lber away from having an excellent defense. I think 2010 we will definately be a top 5 defense.
