I think a GM would come in and place is stamp immediately and look at the QB position - yes our OL is horrible, but the only way to survive the first few years as a GM is to win right away - and after the millions spent last year, the proverbial "leap" next year wil be stressed. Miami will probably go after a Branden Albert and draft a few OLinemen early in the draft. But it will be interesting where this QB dilemma could potentially lead to. Could that be the tipping point of any strained relationship with Philbin? Tannehill doesn't look comfortable in the offense. The strain I referred to could lead to a firing early in the GM hiring. If you are building personnel, you must have a coach that fits.

The moves I'm talking about at QB would be a free-agent signing or trade up in the draft. Look for that #2 pick in this draft with Rams. I don't think they can rape a team like they did Washington, but save this post as probably the most practical in the weeks and months to come

The mock drafts I've seen has Bridgewater going #1. So who do you mean, Manziel?

I'm not opposed to drafting a QB, but we may be looking at 2015, realistically. Plus if a guy like Farmer comes in, he's going to want to get along with everyone and learn the process. He's not going to look to get rid of Tannehill the first year he's here, and he's not allowed to fire Philbin.

I haven't given up on RT and think he needs two more years but if I had to draft a QB I would draft Bortles. He seems like he's going to be a really good one. Just a gut feeling.

But I do get your point....

If you're the GM and you're looking at this to start the season, what do you do?

PS I couldn't find any sweetheart photos of Wallace on Ryan's twitter feed, but hopefully they'll become BFF's soon and I'll see it. Ryan and Wallace need to be joined at the hip until they get it right.

Wow. Theyve finally done it to us havent they? Theyve broken us. We're officially nuts.

Ladies and gentlemen, Ryan Tannehill is a very good QB. The year he had under the conditions he was given is proof enough... In his SECOND YEAR.

Wow. Im flabbergasted. Good time to log off.

Bortles will be a first round pick, and probably won't last to 19. So how do you want to get him, trade up? There are guys who have pro starter potential that can be had later, like Mettenberger, Fales, Garoppolo, Brett Smith, Murray, and others.

Are there any stud RBs in this draft? McCoy types that can run and catch?

Agreed. I'm sick of watching Miami draft players and watch them go to other teams. Ted Ginn Jr, Jake Long and that Wes Welker fella. Three recent first rounders gone. Why watch RT go to another team and probably win a Super Bowl. How can Dol phans want to get rid of a quarterback that put the best numbers up since post Marino era. I would like to see more poise and leadership from RT but that's something that comes with time and xp. I see better things next year as long as the O-line improves. If that happens, we have better balance as long as we can run the ball. Create that balance and RT will do his thing that we saw bits and pieces of this season. Keeps the defense off the field and rested. Our first down average yards per play was WORST in the league, a running down traditionally. 2nd and 3rd and long are the result of poor running and keeps the defense on the field. How can we expect our defense to make plays for us late in the game when they are constantly on the field?

We have our QB. Anyone that doesn't realize that is probably going to be very frustrated.

Further I'm confident it's one of the main questions being asked of the potential OC and GM candidates. IMO if the question is not answered correctly it would be a deal breaker for Ross. I think the main he kept Philbin around is to maintain Ryan's growth in our current offensive system.

keep thinking we have our qb. that could be the worst decision one can make. hopefully new gm has no satisfaction in any position. when you don't do squat as an org since 1984 (AND LAST SB WIN WAS 1974)...nothing is certain

By the time the draft arrives, Finheaven will have everyone beleiving we shouldnt draft an OL in the first round.
