I know there were other reasons we lost the game, like having Jackie Joyner-Kersee as a WR for one. I get that and we all know Ginn will be getting a sex change operation as soon as it possible.

That aside, we came out in the first half and pressured Brees, sacked him, picked him off, forced fumbles, batted balls down, etc. We were generally in his head and he couldn't do anything about it. We saw the results. Then, in the 2nd half, we decide to rush three and let him pick us apart. That is what caused us to lose, IMO. I was just sitting there watching thinking, he is going to pick us apart, and he did. Just like Marino, Peyton or Brady would do.

I think THE only reason the Giants beat NE in the SB was that they put Brady on his a** the whole game. Never stopped with the pressure. That is the only way to beat Brees, Peyton or Brady IMO. If you want to get cute and play zone coverages, they will kill you. Can you imagine what the score would have been minus that first half stategy that we had? 72-34?

I think if we have the personnel to do that to any QB we play, then why not do it? Especially against Brees, who is in another world right now, and to Brady coming up, etc.

With Will Allen done I just don't see us being able to play those zone coverages and beat anyone that has a QB that can complete a pass. I know that is oversimplifying things to certain degree but it's really not that hard to figure out. If we came with all out blitzes in the 2nd half, maybe we get burned a few times but more often we don't, as was displayed in the first half.

I know right? Its like they said "Hey, running the ball and blitzing the QB is working great! We should completely abandon it in the second half!" LOL

That's a double edged sword our coaching staff fought against in the second half.

If u keep pressure on brees we give up a chance for a big play from one of their 12 playmakers with speed to the outside and screens.

So we back off to protect our lead. And then give brees time to freestyle and get off his playaction pass and eat us alive.

I just rewatched the 30 min directv rerun and it's broken down to a few offensive plays that wouldve saved our d.

1. End of half bess suspect fumble 24-3 with ball still driving led to 24-10 halftime

2.ginn gets hit in hands on a 25 yd pass. Off hands onto knee into safties hands 3 times right to sharper for pick 6 bs. Make a catch or knock down ball we still up 14 driving on them

3. Ginn in 4th q drive 2-3 times

4. Fasano on Ronnie browns throw 4th q

5. Illegal forward pass. We were down by ****in 6 and there was over 2 min with timeouts. If he didn't run to sideline he couldve easily gotten the first.

shall I continue. Defense aside we beat ourselves.

I realized all of those things and they did hurt. Bottom line is we scored 34 points and were driving for more and would have had 37 or 41 points if not for the dropped passes at the end or if any of those drives don't stall as you mentioned. It's hard to put all the blame on the offese when we score that much.

I just want to forget this game...EVERY single thing about this game just annoys me more n more each time i hear about it...UGGGGGGGGHHHHHHH
