Why are people so quick to claim that picks are a waste?

Look at Alex Smith, Vernon Davis, Cedric Benson, etc..

Keep in mind, those guys have been in the league 3-5 years, Turner is in his 1st, come on now.

They are not that bad. The lack of a #1 WR makes them look bad because people don't fear the deep pass or any big plays, especially since Ginn drops balls. Once we get a #1 WR and a good TE, our WR's will look good.

Turner didn't produce in college with the #5 overall pick (Mark Sanchez) throwing to him. He isn't one of our 4 best WR's on this team, so there are bigger and better players that should and will be activated ahead of him.

If you want him to start, then I am glad you do not make any of the team decisions. Pretty sure the coaches know whats up, and apparently he hasn't made enough progress yet.
