Nolan carrol should have been cut-

Lordy give the young guys time to develop.

This Regime is horrible at developing talent and giving young talent time to develop.

Also should have never cut Edds.

If you noticed they have Misi as pass coverage specialist. I think this may have something to do with Edds and his underwhelming coverage and short term recovery with injury affecting him.

If anyone paying attention, you will see Misi back in coverage too. almost picked off newton I believe on a high pass. This too could play into it. Mitchell is better hitter and prob can do special teams better.

I wouldnt say that.....we are one of the youngest teams in the league, they have developed young DL, WR, CB, FS and working on QB, RB, TE and OL.....developing young talent is a strength with this FO....they can't keep everyone....when you have tough cuts that means your team is getting deep....we are good QB play from being a really good team.....I would say this FO whiffed more on FA signing than draft picks....

cutting a young promising DB for a vet who wouldn't last half a season would be a huge mistake.

Actually I disagree, any of the young starters either hit as rooks or they didnt. Outside of Clemmons & Soliai who did they really develop?

I'd say Lex Hilliard developed pretty nicely for a late round pick, and I wouldn't totally discount the jumps that Davis and Smith made from year 1 to 2. Roberto Wallace and Marlon Moore also have shown remarkable improvement from last preseason to now. I think the coaching staff does a nice job developing the players we have.

I also like the decision to keep Carroll. He showed promise last year and although he seemed to level out some this preseason, I think it's worth a look to keep a young DB who is a good special teams player.

OMG, I actually had Hilliard slated as one of my examples of poor development and poor roster management.

Hilliard is pretty awful, how awful is he they are trying to make him into a fullback. I see no improvement fromhim from year 1 to this year.

How do you see no improvement??? He didn't make the team his first year and now he is a fixture on Special Teams and a likely starter at fullback??? How is that not improvement??

He was drafted as Running Back and is now maybe considered our backup Fullback, again where is the development? Special Teams? LOL.

He was a late round pick that now plays spot minutes at either backfield position, and contributes on special teams. What more do you expect?
