That level of conditioning is not a quick fix! I would be shocked if we see another team not using the no huddle.

Fortunately theres less than 5 teams in this league that can run a no huddle like that. Pats far and away are #1. Colts aren't there anymore. The unfortunate part is that San Diego and the Texans may run a slight variation of it. Saints and Packers are the #2-3.

Carroll was as bad as I had feared. As hoops said, he has all the tools, but that doesn't matter if you can't recognize routes or play the ball in the air. He definitely looked defeated, and was. He absolutely carried over his poor play from the preseason. Jones didn't help him out by not shading to his side once he got into the game, but still. He was the very definition of a liability back there.

ppl are saying reshad jones was the huge liability in this game but i disagree, nolan carroll was our biggest liability on the field, not only is this guy not playing the ball but he looks like he just doesnt care about winning at all, i am disgusted with his play. I really think nate allen puts more effort in than carroll and plays the ball way better but doesnt earn a roster spot because he is underrated because he was undrafted.

I guess the offense was the only side of the ball practicing during the lockout. It will take 4-6 weeks for these guys to get in shape. Also we are seeing the effects of no power running back and OL line just as we thought. Of course when you are running a spread offense yourself you are exposing your defense more. Our power running game the past couple of years protected our offense from being exposed. In the Marino years everyone said that our defense sucked in reality Marinio slinging the ball around kept the defense on the field more often tiring them out. Here we go again. They gotta beat the Texans this weekend or Sporano leash will turn into a choke collar. If our DB's are in that bad of shape they will certainly still be gassed this weekend so not holding much hope.
