Ahh, we have roughly 20 million or more under the cap, let's sign him in the offseason.
 
id want him also ,but id only trade for him if we had a contract extension in place

Not gonna get him. No way Miami trades for a injured player who is not the easiest to work with.

The Miami Herald reports the Dolphins will receive a 2006 7th-round draft pick from the Saints if RB Jesse Chatman rushes for 300 yards this season. The Dolphins traded Chatman to the Saints last Tuesday.

The Miami Herald reports the Dolphins are not interested in trading for Chargers OG Toniu Fonoti or Cowboys WR Peerless Price. Fonoti was coached by Miami offensive line coach Hudson Houck last season with the Chargers. Fonoti, nursing a broken arm, is also considered a difficult player to handle. The Dolphins had expressed interest in Price when he was cut in August by Atlanta. He had a workout with the Dolphins and was offered a contract. But Price signed with the Cowboys, who gave him a $500,000 signing bonus.
 
there are never any real big trades this late in the season, because it woudl take to long for a new player to learn the system, playbook, and everything. players go though training camp, preseason, and 6 games, and some still dont have a good grasp of the system.

better to keep the guys you have now, and make a trade in the offseason.

suddenly hadnot is a "serious problem" and we have to get rid of him? you're not going to give this guy an opportunity to play out of it. in the meantime, we could try carey in that position, otherwise, there's another bummer. he's more than serviceable as a guard when he's not committing illegal procedure. knowing our team, i'm willing to give him time.
 
I wonder if ANY trade is going to happen today, not just us... ANYTHING... Has anyone heard anything? Toniu Fonoti to the Houston Texans for 3 first round picks?? Tully Banta-Cain for a conditional 6th round pick? Omar Easy for Brian Goolsby... STRAIGHT UP?! Come on, SOMETHING?!
