Did you all see the high-lights from that game? Sure they lost, but I'd like to point out all those bombs Gannon was throwing up and connecting....

This brings me to a few conclusions......

1) Norv actually likes throwing it deep, but Wanny was always like,"no, no we have to be conservative!":mad:


2) (wanny+norv), well, they dont trust jay throwing deep with that noodle of an arm he has.


It kinda sux, when you think about it, we got a guy that has an arm, and now, norv has gone on to oakland, and he actually lets his players play:mad:

Which brings me to finally conclude THAT DAVID WANNSTEDT IS HOLDING US BACK!!! SURE I ALWAYS KNEW THAT HE WAS P.O.S. OF A COACH, BUT NOW ITS JUST DAWNS ON ME & I SEE WHATS GOING ON DOWN IN S.FL, IT MAKES ME EVEN MORE ANGRY:fire:

ITS CRYSTAL CLEAR NOW MORE THAN EVER THAN WANNSTEDT IS THE GUY HOLDING THIS TEAM BACK, HE'S RUINING THIS TEAM, JUST LIKE HE RUINED DA BEARS.

This Wannstedt Regime has got to be toppled and the players as well as us die-hards have got to be liberated!

I concur... Jay never displayed and/or will never have the accuracy needed to throw the deep pass. Remember DW encourage Dan Marino to retire because of his Offfensive philosophies.. Dave knew that with DM in his line up he would have had to alter his plans.... :fire:

To counter the point that Norv didn't trust Jay throwing deep are the reports that Oakland was one of like five teams interested in Jay when he was shopping (even if as a backup). This could mean that Norv did have trust in Jay, and it was Dave that held back such playcalls. This all assuming Norv was indeed interested in Jay as reported.

Plus, I couldnt see the game, but people here have been saying there were no deep passes called in the game, which further supports it's Wannstadt now holding back Collier from going deep once in a while.

Exactly man..... Chambers was even in the papers today saying he wants the ball, and he wants it deep.

What a waste of talent, Im almost postive, Chambers could put up, marvin harrison, randy moss type numbers, if they "give him the damn ball!"

At one point early last season Norv was overheard walking into the locker room at halftime muttering..."Ive got a QB that cant throw, receivers that cant catch anything, and an offensive line that can't block anybody"

I wonder if the Raiders would take a Jay and Wanny for Norv trade. :D

It's pretty obvious that the Wanny/Fiedler connection has been a pretty destructive combo for this team. At least one of the problems is out of the way.

Chambers wasn't the problem.
First off, Wanny has publicly announced his conservative offensive strategy many times. It is felt by many that Wanny did put a leash on Norv and what he could call.

Secondly, Norv told some in the media that he had to actually cut out plays in his playbook because he had no faith in Jay Fiedler being able to make the throws. Then in year 2 not only could'nt he rely on Fiedler making throws but he also had to deal with a major OL problem. To say Norv was handcuffed would be majorly understating what he went through here.

yes, we did. instead of extending Wanny contract. Norv should of gotten promoted to HC. life could of been better. who knows. oh well. we still got 15 more games to go.
