Browns | Blackstock to visit and work out
Tue, 4 Mar 2008 18:24:53 -0800
Mary Kay Cabot, of the Cleveland Plain Dealer, reports free-agent LB Darryl Blackstock (Cardinals) will visit the Cleveland Browns Tuesday, March 4, and work out Wednesday, March 5, according to a source.

IF...Parcells wants him....he better get on the Bat phone!

i think we are only bringing in guys who we really want to sign because i think everyone thats visted has been offered a contract

I seem to remember a young fella by the name of "Pace" visiting the 'Phins awhile back. Even got offered a contract, far as I can recollect, but it seems not to have worked out. Moral: a visit is just a visit, it's the contract that counts.

I think he got kicked off the Univ. Virgina team?.... some character issues. Wasn't he from the supplemental draft?

i think if we wanted him we would have signed him already
I don't know about that. Seems like the FO was quiet for a few days before signing Boomer. I think Parcells and Ireland still have a few dollars to do a little grocery shopping.

EDIT:

But that's not the same as saying that everyone who has been offered a contract has visited.

I'm not saying that Parcells and Ireland are interested, just that no one has yet offered sufficient reason to rule it out.

Whose this Blackstock fella anyway?

He's nobody, that's who.

hasnt any 1 got the memo yet..tuna has a secret plan and that plan is build the teams thru the special teams like guys like torbor, anderson and now boomer!

I'm sure there is some interest....but the guy has really never played. Parcells knows the guy tho cause he has Al Groh to listen to (as does Romeo in Cleveland). This guy will get a minimal contract tho, and perhaps, just perhaps he decided he would rather see what Cleveland had to say since he might perceive them as being closer to the playoffs and needing more help at OLB (at least right now)

I thought what you said was funny as H___, but if all we do in F.A. this year is fix the Special teams and help the ol a lil thats cool with me.

What the tuna is doing is getting physical special team players that are going to spring ted ginn for some longer runs on kickoffs.

were gonna suck now. We didnt get Blackstock. oh my. just hang it up. were done.
