The Dolphins' 13-point comeback in the fourth quarter against the Redskins was not the largest deficit they've overcome since 1980, as the team had incorrectly reported.

Quarterback Dan Marino led them back from a 16-3 deficit to beat the Kansas City Chiefs, 17-16, in a first-round playoff game on Jan. 5, 1991.

The comeback from a 13-point deficit Sunday night was the largest fourth-quarter comeback in a regular-season game since 1980. That season, the Dolphins erased a 16-0 deficit to beat the New Orleans Saints 21-16. ...
 
seems like there have been bigger games where we came back

marino had what? 34 come from behind wins? and none for more than 16 points?
 
It seems shocking to me that none of them came from more than 13 down. Perhaps Danny Boy's mark isn't all that impressive afterall?
 
I seem to remember the Dolphins scoring 25 points in the 4th quarter against the Colts one year when Marino hit Gadsden for 50 yards and then on a 2 yard fade....
