I love how we did not get conservative; instead, we put our foot on their throat and finished them off like we should!!!

I remember the old days with Wanny. We would get a lead, and we we just try to run the ball to eat clock. You could just see the other team gaining momentum until they would catch up and win in the end. I hated that conservative approach. I hope Sparano will keep this up and go for the knock-out when they are on the ropes...

exactly.
the whole second half i kept saying "keep scoring keep scoring"
im too used to teams making 2nd half comebacks on us.
It was beautiful there is not to much that could of happened to wipe the smile off my face on sunday

Well we pretty much did just keep running the ball and killing the clock. The only difference is it was working!!! In those Wannstedt days they would run, run, run even when it was being stuffed.

I think it was important for us to slam down the throttle and run away....i think it was a statement.......know we have two weeks to get ready for the chargers they will pass so our secondary needs to have a good couple of weeks because i think our Dline has turned a corner and our Lb's finally get it....if we get up early on the chragers i say keep kicking them whiel they are down run the score up we are not out ther to win people over lets kick some ***

Great thread, I was thinking the same thing. For the first time in years, I wasn't sweating that the other team was going to come back.

i was hoping that we would score more. we had the ball with 8 minutes left at their 50......i kept yelling at the tv "DONT STOP, DONT STOP". i wanted to put an end to the patriots "dynasty" once in for all, and i think we did that. its kind of hard for espn to talk about how great bilichik is, especially when he got his arse kicked by a high school play.

Maybe it was just my desire to see the Pats humiliated MORE but I wanted to see Henne put one in the end zone!:d-day:

I, as well. I wanted to see them rub the Pats' noses in the dirt, like they did to us last season.
I'll admit, when the Pats scored and closed to 28-13, it seemed like they (and the fans) got fired up and I thought they would make it close. Thankfully, Sparano stuck to the gameplan.

Yah that was some BS call he had the momentum to drive him to the grown he couldnt stop midway lol.

Oh I also support us running the score up on the patsies, and every other team as well!!

Same here. Even when we were up 38-13 I was hoping for 2 more TDs. make the score 52-13 just to make a statement and give a little payback for how they treated teams last year (especially 42-7 at halftime against us and 53-7(?) final score against the Skins).

We should have run up the score on them even more. Against the Chargers, we need to go into the game planning to get up early and run up the score. As far as I am concerned, we CAN play every game like we did on Sunday, we need the mindset of dominating every single game. The Chargers will not be competitive; we will be up by 14 early and keep running for the endzone. I dont care if we are up by fifty with a minute left in the game, shoot for the endzone. Hell, we wont let them cross the 50... Period

Maybe I am a homer, but if we did what we did to the high and mighty Patriots, we have to ability to do it to anybody.
