A $5 million deal per year to Arrington sounded very realistic, eventhough the Giants gave LaVar what he wanted and let him made the call, I say Saban made a great job by not signing him, I personally wouldn't give more than $4 million per year looking at our cap space, but obviously Saban knows better...

We have also a good cap space because we didn't sign LaVar thet could mean the possibility of signing Ty Law or sound unrealistic due to we signed 4 DB's but we let go 2 DB's and 1 more recovered from injury, so we have 3 more DB's than last year...

Or what should we do with the remaining cap space?

i think we have great talent in our secondary and people is gona be very imprese with poole ,hill and bell ,the only reason people think we have needs in our secondary is because we lack of expirience ,but belive me well be fine

We should, saban is a secondary defense mastermind, its his speciality...

exactly ,now you are getting my point:dolphins:

Yes, but thats not the point of the thread...

What should we do with the remaining cap space if not signing Law?

at least ty law made pro bowl last year lavar made the bench warm last 4 weeks of season last year:sidelol:

I'm glad Arrington didn't come to the Dolphins. That is a good thing. Forget Ty Law as well. Miami still needs to land that backup QB.

YOU SEE...one of my predictions from the other thread came true already. Another Ty Law thread.

 j/k

not to be all like i told u so he didnt play the first weeks of the season and played the end of the year after lavar showed greg williams that he wanted to play and play his way.

Lavar and Zach i dont think would of mixed well...

Lavar seems more of a show me the $$$ kinda player were zach plays for the love of the game.

Zach seems more of a team player i dont know i guess well never find out

everything happens for a reason i guess

I trust ya SABAN ! :dolphins:

No, I heard thru my mothers brothers cousins friend that Marino is coming out of retirement since he and Law are about the same age...(just kidding)...

We don't need another aging vet at CB, we just let that guy go (Madison)... We have picked up several good DBs and have Poole coming back. If you remember correctly, he was Surtains replacement before his injury and we all thought he'd be great ?? Lets see how the draft goes before we jump on another old man in the secondary...

:shakeno: Please not another Ty Law post. No, we should not sign him. Period.

Even if the Fins had the money (by restructuring the contracts of ZT and JT): while you do get a great CB for a year there is no necessity to spend all your money on 1 guy who will not help you after 2007.

Arrington is a young player that could help you also in a couple of years. Law is the right CB if you are nearly ready to make it to the Super Bowl and all you need is a CB. And the Dolphins are too far away from that.

Just save some bucks and see who is available once the teams start releasing players, there are always some nice players available then which are way cheaper.
