49ers signed former Buccaneer and Auburn Tiger Carl Stewart to their practice squad.
The move could pave the way for practice squad RB Thomas Clayton to move to the active roster if Frank Gore can't play. The fact that they already appear to be preparing for such a scenario suggests the team might not be terribly optimistic about Gore's chances of playing.

Things are not looking for Gore, the fact that the 49ers are already doing this means there is a big chance Gore will be out. If he plays he defitnetly wont be 100 percent.

Good news for us. Even if he played though I dont think he would have had a good game against this D. Im more worried about our pass D and our Oline. I hope theyre not overlooking the 9ers

This is not overlooking anyone. They learned there leason with Houston. You should hear Pennington presser on the 9ers.

What is good is that at least if our D knows that Gore is unlikly to play they can emphasise practing on theikr blitz packages. It gives our D a little less to prepare for.

Frank Gore (ankle) said Thursday that he still hopes to play in Week 15, but will miss practice Thursday for the second straight day.

According to beat writer Matt Maiocco, "it still doesn't look good." While Gore is off crutches and might do some practicing on Friday, he's still walking gingerly and admits that "If I can't cut, I won't be able to go." Look for DeShaun Foster to start at Miami and lose goal-line work to Michael Robinson.

I sincerely doubt now Gore plays, I dont care how opptimistic he sounds. He is not playing and the only reason he is saying he is going to play is so we have to gameplan against him.

i wish he would play, why take anything less than their best shot.
