  • Veteran cornerback Will Allen is happy to be back with Miami. He was released when the team cut down to 53 players before the regular season. Allen said he had no ill feelings about Miami's decision. "This is a business," Allen said. "You just gotta understand that you can't take anything personal. As soon as you start taking stuff personal, you need to sit down and [quit]."
  • Allen will be wearing No. 38 this season. It's an odd choice because Allen wore No. 25 his entire career with the Dolphins and New York Giants. Allen said there's no particular reason behind his new number. Miami rookie corner Jimmy Wilson has that number and Allen couldn't switch because players can't change numbers once a regular-season game is played.
  • Dolphins starting corner Sean Smith said he's not worried about future cramping. Smith claims he's never had issues with it in Miami before Monday. Smith and fellow corner Vontae Davis cramped up in the second half versus New England and were in and out of the lineup. "I’m in top-notch shape; I was hydrated," Smith said. "I have no clue what the reason for that was."
  • Speaking of injuries, Miami is getting healthier at running back. Tailback Daniel Thomas (hamstring) and fullback Charles Clay (hamstring) both had full participation in practice. Dolphins head coach Tony Sparano said starting tailback Reggie Bush played every offensive snap last Monday against New England.
  • Dolphins who did not practice Wednesday were defensive end Jason Taylor (ankle), safety Chris Clemons (hamstring), defensive end Tony McDaniel (hand) and receiver Roberto Wallace (quad).

Good to hear Will isn't angry and that DT and Clay are getting healthy. Smith better be right about the cramping

I'm thinking sometimes players fake a cramp so they say that's why they got beat

Don't know about Vontae, I didn't even see him go out, but I'm pretty sure Sean had a legit cramp. Dude was hobbling everywhere for two plays.

Will's # sucks.. should've gotten 32 or something.. 27 even.

It's weird that both Vontae and Sean Smith - who are close friends - both cramped up.

Maybe they went out drinking the night before. Alcohol has a tendency to cause muscle cramps.

Do you honestly believe he is speaking the truth? These guys toe the company line for big money until they are just plain done with a team...even then, you rarely have a player talk out against a former team because they don't want to burn bridges. It's called professionalism....

I personally bet he is pissed at losing his number and the guaranteed money....

of course he is especially considering his tweet earlier about about people that burn bridges better know how to swim lol

on the same note u see ricky williams speaking out about how this staff treats the players today? not to mention what he said after last year about sparano micromanaging. and stop focusing on things that dont matter? looks like ricky was right.

Sean Smith is not worried about future cramping but has no idea why he cramped up this week

Well I'm reassured now

I did read a report somewhere stating Smith and Davis were at a strip club either the night before or 2 nights before the game. Who knows what they did or if it is even true.

Yeah you're all in great shape, lol. Don't suppose it has anything to do with an offseason of uncommonly light training...must have been a freak coincidence, maybe cell phone interference or something.

they spend to much time yucking it up on tweet.

anyone catch the stuff bruschi and rodney harrison were saying about ochocinco yesterday?

they said he was in such "awe" and wasnt a big part in the game because he spends TO MUCH TIME TWEETING and blowing his horn yucking it with homies and not watching film or tweeking his game. "he hasnt accepted the patriot way, he hasnt got it yet."

seems smith and vontae LIVE on twitter.

the thing that got me a few weeks ago after a practice, there was reggie running and catching ball after ball off the jugs machine. the report said vontae saw him and shook his head and said "man!" and slinked off to the locker room.

and to twitter.

what he should have done instead of shaking his head and wincing at reggies hard work and commitment, he should have dropped his towel gatorade and went out and JOINED HIM!! vontae drops ints as much as the rest and could use the time on the jugs. if nothing else, you acknowledge your teammates efforts and stay out for a while with him so he doesnt feel on an island. maybe let some of that leadership and work ethic reggie has rub off on you.

these examples are why vontae will always be nothing more than a decent cb and sean smith WILL NOT BE IN A NFL UNIFORM 3 years from now. he has no game and no work ethic and NO heart.

Maybe they practiced softer than usual..we barely had any injuries during tc

I agree with you about Sean and Vontae and Twitter. Sean especially, spends too much time on that thing trying to pick up chicks and whatever. It is kind of embarrassing really.
