Wouldn't you feel a little bit better if #34 was the feature back while RB is out? Granted, SM ran well last week, and he's going to be on pretty fresh legs, but having Ricky back there would sure make me feel a little more at ease with the game today. What do you think?

I would rather have Jim Brown.... or maybe Eric Dickerson... or even Emmit or Walter...

Nice response. I was just trying to fire up a little discussion before the game.

I would feel better if Saban would have gotten a legitimate backup RB. Sammy Morris wasn't able to handle the load of a full game two years ago.

well, lets discuss then..you wouldn't like those guys as much as Ricky?...THEY were never suspended for drugs... I think they would do good

Also, none of them are active players, ever played for the Dolphins, could play for the Dolphins next year, or were part of a very good 1,2 punch with Ronnie Brown last season. His suspensions have nothing to do with the fact that he's a very talented football player. What about Shawne Merriman? Do you view his suspension as harshly as you, or most other people, view Ricky's? I doubt it. It's quite a double standard.

perhaps, but my comparison is just a likely to come true as your nothing against but stuff.

and I could care less about Merryman, so far, he hasn't quit his team OR been stupid so many times the nfl won't let him play for a year

Again, I was only trying to spark a little discussion with some Dolphins fans before the game on someone we hadn't discussed about this game. Sure, Ricky abandoned his team once, and has made the same mistake more than once. I was specifically talking about, on the field, today, wouldn't you rather have him starting than Sammy Morris? A proven #1 RB workhorse. Merriman did the exact same thing as Ricky. He violated the League's Substance Abuse Policy. Why Steroids aren't viewed as seriously as Marijuana, I'll never know. The latter doesn't exactly effect you in a positive, performance changing way as much as the former.

merriman failed once...ricky continually failed that's the difference...if merriman goes his whole career w/o incident this will be forgotten...ricky's history will never leave him...

no, I would rather have Jim Brown...again, he is even MORE eligable to play for us than ricky

again, I could care lass about merriman.. he won't line up play today with us eaither.

if you want to create a "fantasy" thread, why not put it where it belongs

Honestly, right now, I would if it was Ricky of 02. But it wouldn't be and won't be in any shape of form. I can live with Morris, he can carry the load for a game or two along with Minor.

As I've said previously----

I miss the Ricky that is one of the most talented RBs ever.

I don't miss the one that urinated all over this organization
and decided to implode his career and this team.

That was two years ago. For all we know Sammy Morris could rush for 120 yrds today.

Ricky is a talented football player, unfortunately he pissed all over his future and this team.
