This was a question to Bruce Feldman a writer for ESPN about College Football. I don't agree with the guy at all and I honestly wonder id he really knows what he is talking about. Here is the Question.....
From Sean in Pittsburgh: Bruce, Notre Dame fans are very glad Urban Meyer is not in South Bend. While Meyer has shown he is all talk when it comes to discipline, Charlie Weis has done just the opposite. Just ask Rashon Powers-Neal if Weis is forgiving. Neal, the starting fullback in 2005, got a DUI over fall break and never saw the field again in an Irish uniform. Not only is Weis' offense much better than Meyer's, but Weis is a much better person as well.
Feldman: Hey Sean, in fairness to Meyer, every situation is different. I had some people talk about USC's handling of Winston Justice's incident a few years back. But that was actually the second time in Winston's career that he had legal trouble at USC. I also think it's too early to rip Meyer's offense apart. Chris Leak doesn't appear to be a great fit and his offensive line was very mediocre. But yes, I do understand why ND folks are excited that they "ended up" with Weis. He seems to make all the right moves.
