For Ross and the homers to think we're going in the right direction and Philbin gets another year. To make it worse we drop 7 spots on draft day by winning 2 games that don't matter. How do I know this? Cause these are the same old Dolphins. What'd be good in the long run is for us to lose at least 1 of our last 2 games so Ross will get rid of Philbin and we can drat higher. Sometimes having some good picks attracts good HC candidates. No I'm not rooting for us to lose but when you look at the bigger picture it'd be the best thing that could happen.

NO. We win every possible football game we can. Let the chips fall where they may regarding the coaching. I suspect a change is coming anyway.....but the whole idea of being ok with losing games is crazy.

Edit: OP, I realize your not advocating throwing games.....but there is no silver lining in losing.

probably best to just lose out, play the backups so no one suffers an injury late in the year. mine as well see what we have sitting on the bench

The Dolphins lose games regardless of whether we as fans are OK with it or not. This season is over and the next two games mean something only in the context of draft positioning and coaching staff longevity. I know what would be best....two more losses. It's sad, but this is reality.

Lose out. Philbin out. Get better picks. Meaningless wins do nothing but set this team back even further.

We are an injury depleted team that has no depth with a subpar coach. Losing the next two is not a tall task.

It would be typical Dolphins and Jets if we lose that game. By that, I mean us losing a game that we should win against a division rival in December at home and the Jests ****ing themselves out of a lower draft pick and, likely, a new QB.

Funny Magic Johnson said recently the Lakers should just lose and get a higher puck in the draft. This from a guy that lived to win and hates losing but he sees the bigger picture. Again, I can't root for our team to lose but at this point we have more to gain by mot winning these 2 games that don't really matter.

Btw, does anyone know where we'd pick if the season ended now?

I still think the Colts FO intentionally tanked the season to get Luck. They did nothing to replace Painter even though he wasn't even backup quality.

Fight for two more wins in a meaningless season? More moral victory garbage.

Two more wins HURTS this team and thats a fact.

I think the last two games against playoff caliber teams (Ravens, Pats) shows how far the Dolphins are off. If you can't compete with them in December when it counts you have made no progress.

I'm tired of reading about these last two games... They make no difference, no matter what happens. Winning them doesn't equal progress. Progress had a chance to be achieved by winning the Baltimore game or yesterday's game. Instead, we were non-competitive and listless in both games, and were blown out in both games against quality teams. Enough is enough. Get Philbin the **** outta here, whether we win the last two meaningless games or not.

The right direction would've been either winning against Baltimore or New England. The right direction is not blowing the games you need to win and only saving face by winning the last two against meaningless teams. That's a loser's mentality and the Dolphins need to shed themselves of it.
