MIDolphins#1
Rookie
I have been reading many Forum posts that have said that we "reached" at #19 taking James and that we should have "traded down" and we could have still taken James. The Dolphins did allow quite a bit of time to expire on the draft clock before making our selection, what is there to say that offers were made to us, but were not the correct value for our #19 pick? We are never going to know, nor does it matter, what we "could have done" or the offers that were made to us in that small period of time. What if Zach Martin was still available at #19? What if the offers we received were not "value" for our #19th pick? Again, it doesn't matter, these things didn't happen.
Here is what we do know, we drafted a player that was high on our board in a position of, not only need, but desperate need. The rest will pan out over the next few years. Hickey should be "graded" and "judged" on how his draft picks perform and how many are still productive Dolphins in 2 years.
Peace and GO DOLPHINS,
David
