* Favre played in every game since 92 talk about non injury prone
** Stuck plummer in to show how a guy can leave a bad team and go to a good team and flourish.

So who do you want to bring in all you GM's?????

OF all the QBs names being thrown around, I would like to have Brees. He may end up being available without having to trade. (doubtful though). I'm not a real big fan of giving up draft choices for the likes of Culpepper or Bulger. My opinion is, if we're not able to get Brees, (which, again, is unlikely) I would just assume draft a QB in the mid-rounds to develop, keep Gus around, see how the young QB develops for a season, then go from there. I know that isn't the popular opinion because people are growing impatient with the QB situation. It is getting frustrating. But giving away draft picks for injured QBs, other peoples second stringers, or QBs with other questions, just doesn't appeal to me.

Brees, or McCown because they will be the best bang for the buck. Plus we won't have to trade anything for these guys there free agents. I don't like McCown all that much though if we get him we still have to draft someone.

I would like to know more about McCown (scouting report) since I can't recall seeing him play. He is one of the few people on that list who could be more than a stopgap kind of guy --- if he has any ability. Plus, I believe he is an unrestricted free agent. I wouldn't want to give up any picks unless they were low picks so I'd rule out Bulger. Not sure he's as good as his numbers indicate anyway. If Miami is looking for a stopgap then they might as well stick with Gus for one more year and spend the money elsewhere.

Exactly Comparing Gus' numbers to the others being his first season and a new offense all together I think he looks pretty good especially with th O line he had. All the studs have tailed off or just can't stay healthy. Brees would be great but he is not gonna be cheap at all. Use the money for O line studs I say and give gus time and Ronnie some holes. If Trent Dilfer can win a superbowl Gus can.

If you're really looking to draft one of the top 3 quarterbacks without having to trade up, the availability of Culpepper, Brees and Bulger is great news. Hopefully someone like Oakland, Baltimore and Arizona takes a chance on them, and the odds of Cutler or Young slipping down to #16 increase.
Personally, I don't have any problem finding out what the price is on Phillip Rivers and/or Drew Brees. As for the rest, I'd rather take my chances in the draft.

Brees: with 8 men in the box you better put up good passing numbers
Bulger: with Holt Bruce Hakim and Faulk in a passing offense nuff said
Pepper: MOSS MOSS MOSS and he probably wont play till mid season any way
Favre: Most likely will retire butstill would be healthy and a good general on the field maybe even cheap, but will retire.
Kitna: still dont like that guy nothing great
McCown: full of ????????????? could be a star could be Feeley wouldnt know till he got here and played a full season(Risky)
Mcnair: On his way out to injury prone, would take him for veteran min.
Frerotte: Not sold not the future but not ready to see him go. Just don't know glad im not a GM I am all stressed out.....

You should have also posted the stats for Kerry Collins, Joey Harrington, and Brian Griese (or Simms for that matter). I think they have as good a shot if not better than those guys of being available in FA.

Whats the age comparison of all these quys? Are we talking for just one single season while a drafted rookie learns? or the next few years and we dont draft a QB?

I agree with you 100% but I also think that Miami shouldnt wait to late into the draft. I think Whitehurst would be a good fit but thats just my oppinion.

who leads all those QB´s with the lowest comp percentage....ding ding ding we have a winner....

seriously though, bulger would be my first choice on that list

are you guys crazy. I dont like gus either but why risk giving up early round draft picks for 30's qb's like bulgar. You guys are acting like qb is are only problem its not so why risk draft picks for some crappy qb in bulgar stick with gus right now draft a young guy and thats that. The only way i see someone taking gus spot in 06 is a drafted rookie or a FA but abusulately NO TRADES
