I been wondering about Brown. He weighted about 210 pounds or so in auburn and he ran with a good speed. When he came in the nfl as a dolphin, I saw brown a little bit more muscular and it seem to have affected his play on the field. He didn't have that burst that he had in auburn, maybe he didn't feel as confident because he was a rookie.

He's now more powerful and able to railroad DB's. I think he'll be fine. He still has some speed though. Believe that.

Or maybe he was playing against NFL players this year, and its easier to accelerate past college kids.

Ronnie is fine

The Main reason we drafted him at 2 is because of his speed. I think he weighed 225ish at the combine and ran an awesome 40 time. Someone will post the specs.

first of all he didnt weigh 210 in his playing days at auburn, you must be thinking of carnel williams, but ronnie weighed in at around 223-228. Look it up. But with the additional 7-12 pounds he will become more difficult to tackle.

Nah, speed wasn't the main reason. It was the fact that he was the best overall back in the draft . . he had the best hands (receiving ability), and the best blocking ability among the top backs . . not to mention with his size he was a bruiser . . he was the total package . . people better watch out this year. Don't care if his 40 time was better than Lac tho(which I don't think it was but it may have been), Lac is faster and was more productive in college . . but couldn't touch Ronnie on those other 2 categories.

He has gotten more muscular according to reports from mini camp and the OTAs.

He's been playing with Auburn from 210-220 lbs. This site(senior year) states that he's 224 lbs. Keep in mind that they might put in the sites that he weights more as they do with all players.

Not to nitpick, since we are talkin ten pounds, but this was the end of his junior year . . secondly 225 is a weight which actually they might put less than what he really weighs when talking about running backs. Like with Olinemen, they put they weigh 310, mann some of those dudes weigh like 350 easily. The point is, He has played between 225-235 since his junior year, and if he has gained ten pounds, its been muscle and has helped him become even more of a bruiser. Its not like Lendale, playing at like 235 and is now 260 (was), Brown gained weight from working out.
