Now that THAT'S over, let's just talk about the Saints

Mike Francesa just said "Saints vs Fish - This has the potential for the Pick Off of the NFL. Saints just had Giants, Atlanta next week, perfect opportunity for Miami to knock them from the undefeated. Only thing is, I'm not so sure the Dolphins secondary can run all over the field with the Saint's receivers"

We have three to four players on our team that can cover reliably: Smith, Davis, W. Allen, sometimes Y Bell.

On any given play, the Saints have 3-6 VERY competent receiving threats on the field, including their WRs, Shockey, and backs. The numbers just do not add up in our favor.

We just have to play keep away.

AND we had 2 weeks to prepare.

I may knock Will Allen off that list. He has disappointed so far this season.

This is the best team the Dolphins face this year no doubt. I definitely think the Saints make the Super Bowl and more than likely win it. This will be a great test to see how how far we have come in 18 months.
 
Do we have to talk about the Saints? Can't we just keep kicking the Jets?
 
I’m more worried about Shockey and Bush. They have a lot of weapons, more than the Colts had. Brees is darn near Manning level and a very confident prolific passer. But I don’t think the Saints have faced a defense like ours. We are getting really good. If we bring the heat on Brees, he still has Shockey. Crowder needs to bring what he brought to the jets game (don’t know if I’ve ever seen that two games in a row). Everybody really needs to step up, Jason, Joey, Allen, Hartline, all of them. This is the top tier in the NFL, and right now they look like the Super Bowl pick. We get this schedule for being the Champs, now it’s time to go out and take on the elite and man up. I think Parcells has really put a stamp on this team and is one of those guys that can take ours and beat theirs. Miami win, baby!
 
The key to this game will be doing two things. One we have done all year, the other we have been terrible at.

1. Running the ball. Wearing them down in the Florida heat and controlling the T.O.P.

2. Pass Rush. Other than against the Bills, who had a slapped together O-Line, we have been awful all year. Not giving Brees the time to air it out will be huge.
 
Keep away is the only way to do it. Keep Brees off the field and I like our chances running agianst their defense. There are not many weak spots on this team, but we all know that we can run against anybody. Shocky scares me, we have been getting torn up by tight ends all season. We need to containt Drew Brees, because it aint likely we stop him.
 
In order to win this game our Safties and LBs are going to have to have one hell of a game and im not just talking about G. Wilson i am also talking about Y. Bell who also hasnt played that great this year and we need to control the ball like we did when we played the Colts except we need better D play then we had that game
