now that we have the CBA done, will FA still start tonight at 12:01? or will it be pushed to Friday so the Teams can have more time to figure out who to cut now that the cap is higher?

Will JT and Zach now restructrure to create even more cap room? That could help us get a bunch of guys.

Yeah its a done deal. FA will start 12:01am Thursday/Friday. I think we will be able to be very aggressive in signings with this...especially for Brees

I don't know if the Fins should actually re-structure Thomas and Taylor if they don't need to. If they get who they want then just let their contracts run a little so in the future they won't be as much of a cap problem.

Yeah, but Taylor can save us up to $7 million this season! We need to restructure him to have complete Free Agency freedom.

Ok but you don't blow money like that the second you have a good cap. If you don't need to re-structure their deals don't do it. Only if it'll bring a damn good FA not a mediocre overpaid one.

1. Brees
2. Mawae
3. Peterson/Arrington

are the targets now

I've posted this before but...

To disagree slightly, Both Zach and JT have earned each dollar of their contracts. No disruptions ala T.O. and both are active in the community. Both are still dominators at their positions and I personally don't feel that they should have to restructure anything that would involve them getting 1 penny less. I think that in this instance, let em stay as they are. We have so few faces that are associated with the dolphins.

Anyone worried that since Dan Diego is now 27 mil under the cap, they might re think their position on Brees and sign him to a huge deal???
