This team can obviously still use some upgrades and some improved depth in several areas. What veteran players are still out there that can help us?

Are we still looking to improve the RB position? Personally I feel like this is a position that we shouldve addressed in the draft. RB is a position that you can often find talented players in the late rounds and yet we didnt even draft a RB with any of those 6th and 7th round picks.

I know most of the board does not like Thomas anymore, but IMHO Lamar Miller simply isnt a very good RB. While he has good speed for a RB, his blocking is terrible, his hands are below average, his vision is below average, and he puts the ball on the ground. He is at best a 3rd guy who should get 2 or 3 carries per game as a potential HR hitter.

Unless they plan to unleash Gillislee on the NFL, I feel like we still need to add a good player to the mix at RB. I like what Moreno brings, especially in the passing game with his excellent blocking and good catching skills, but aside from him I dont think we have good talent at RB.

I think we have more than enough corn planted at this point, but you never know who else they may bring in. You can pencil in the starters at T and C and we have a decent group of players to battle for the 2 G spots.

We our overloaded at WR and should be in for an interesting TC and preseason battle at that position.

I dont see too many spots where we may add defense at this point either.

So who are the FAs still out there that interest any of you? Who are some potential quality vets that might be June cuts? Are there any players on our own roster that could wind up being released in June and if so will we be looking to sign a replacement or roll with what we have at their position?

I fully expect Miami to go after Jeremiah Finley (health) or possibly Dustin Keller again (if he proves his health). Philbin wants that seam threat at TE that he thought he had last year before Keller went down.

I highly doubt they go after Finley. Finley isn't a huge fan of Philbin and despite what the local beat writers have speculated the Fins as of last Wednesday hadn't even spoken to Finley's agent.

I loved Keller pre-knee injury but I'm not sold that he's ready for a return. My biggest disappoint with the draft is that we didn't grab a TE that can threaten the seams. Because of Clay's recent success I full expect teams to pay a lot more attention to him. It would have been nice to have another threat on the field.

While I semi agree with your talk on miller I think he's been more effective than you give him credit for (4.5 ypc) and deserves more than "2-3 carries a game" . our rb Group is fine for 2014 as far as I'm concerned.

That being said I don't expect much more than depth coming from FA. Maybe Keller...

We have Gator Hoskins! I actually hope he can make the roster as a fullback/TE. And I think Brock Jensen can make the team.

Two great football player names

I think Miller will be fine now that he wont be asked to be the main guy. His blocking limitations were exposed but as a early down change of pace guy I think he'll be good. Use him like we did when Bush was the starter.

I think that depending on how well Keller recovered, he's worth a look.

I do think we were looking to take Troy Niklas and he got taken right under our noses.

I highly doubt we get Finley or Keller after drafting Lynch. I still think Miller is our starting back and Moreno is gonna be in Thomas' old role. I expected to draft a RB but they must like what they have in Miller, Moreno, Thomas, and Gillislee.

At this point FA is dumpster diving but, could see adding Keller IF he is healthy. He would add another good option for RT. We could still be looking at vet options on the OL from late releases, as well as a LB and maybe a RB.

Here's a thought. Balt took Mosely, and Daryl Smith is 32, having a good year in 2013. I could see him released, and a one year bandaid.

Davin Joseph. He's nothing to write home about. But I would bring him in to compete at guard with Smith, Thomas, Turner, Garner, and Brenner. On a 1 year non guaranteed contract.

Why in the world would they do that? They just gave him a 4 year 16 million dollar contract. He's the perfect player for Mosley to play next to in the 3-4 and learn behind. Baltimore is very smart with that pick.
