Given the rehauling of our coaching staff and our ability to hire high profile coaching talent has the bar been risen to Super Bowl expectations next year? I for one am very excited with the moves Saban has made and expect great things out of the Phins next year. Think about it, we have already improved our team significantly before the draft.. I can only begin to imagine the amount of preperation and input the entire coaching staff will have come draft day.. The bar has risen, but have we set it to high? AFC Championship or bust for next year.

I think we have a good chance to make wildcard next year, winning the AFC would mean we were ahead of schedule IMO.

no way the AFC is still stacked,,,,,,I say making the playoffs would be a major accomplishment. And I would say the odds are against us to do that.

If Saban makes FA and draft decisions like he has coaching decisions already this offseason, we are going to be in really good shape....... go dolphins i cant wait to see the dolphins being the talk of the nfl next year...go fins :dolphins:

Playoffs are definately not out of reach. Think about it guys, we were 9-7 this year. There were atleast 2-3 games more that we should've won. if we would've won those games we would have been 11-5 or 12-4. Were definately going to the playoffs next year.

I wouldn't go as far as to say definitely...I think with the ending of our season, and the start of our offseason, we have certainly thrown our team into the "playoff team/talk" mix. We still have the Patriots in our division and a ton of other tough teams in our conference. We also have what looks to be like a difficult schedule as well.

I don't think we can really get a sense of how good we will be until we start making "player" personnel moves. As great as the coaching signings have been (after the loss of Linehan), it really comes back to the players, and we do have holes to fill. Hopefully we can work on that shortly after Feb. 5th

Wild Card looks great for us. Even a division win wouldn't shock me. I think it will take a few years until we are Super Bowl contender though.

I may just be a homer, but I think the FINS have a real good shot at the SB next year if we get a QB and 1, maybe 2 in the secondary... Now for my reasoning...

I don't know about most of you but if you watched the BRONCOS/STEELERS game, you might be able to understand... Alot of the defensive schemes and alignments thet the STEELERS were using looked very simular to our "D"! Granted, our secondary needs 1, maybe 2, ballhawks and I think you would not be able to tell much of a difference...

HELL, I think we could have even beaten DENVER with what we currently have in place!!!

We have ALWAYS given MANNING fits!!! And we've seen that without PALMER, the BENGALS aren't much!!!

We have the running game and I think the O-LINE will only get better with HOUCK in there...

Special teams are set... Maybe relieve WELKER of KO, but it will still work with him...

We only need a few tweaks and I believe that we are IN!!!

Just my thoughts though!:D

Your just being a homer!

j/k

You have some valid points but I think one that you failed to mention was the Phins will have to experience and adjust up to the playoff level of play before they will be able to sustain a top level caliber game enough to win it all.
