Isn't it true that Clowney would play on a franchise tag contract this season and that can no longer be renegotiated? So he's a free-agent next year. If you want him so bad, just wait and sign him in free agency in 2020. Trading for Clowney makes zero sense except for playoff contenders on a one-year rental.
I'm not crazy about moving him alone for less than a third or fourth. However, that Drake, Stills, and pick for Clowney trade intrigues the heck out of me.
Exactly. I like and respect the heck out of Brian Miller, but I completely disagree with his idea of Drake, a receiver (Stills) and a pick for Clowney. I just don't want Clowney that badly, especially with no contract in place.Isn't it true that Clowney would play on a franchise tag contract this season and that can no longer be renegotiated?
