Ok, guys. You guys were calling for Henne, now you got him. The bright side is, now we can strech the field. Our running game is only going to get better now as everyone knows Henne has a good are, question is, can he use it at this level? Thoughts?

I think Henne will become an excellent punter on 2nd and 3rd downs by tossing the long ball to the other team and giving them "bad" field position.

Another die hard fan....how fast you find that pick for your avatar?

I think Henne has all the tools to be a successful QB. With Pennington mentoring him on the sideline, he'll be alright. The only thing that concerns me is with Dan Henning and the play calling. Are they going to baby him and not let him throw the ball downfield? Or are they going to change the calls to better suit Henne?

Don't be so sure of yourself. Henne is nothing more than an unproven, green QB that continues to stare down receivers. I hate to be a pessimist but I am taking the wait and see approach.

Way to give up on a guy after not even one half of a game. *Shakes head*

****, quit blaming Henning when he has nothing but a run game to work with.

I dont know how Henning will handle things but if it were me, I would give him his shots down field. He has the arm now lets use it. If its incomplete big deal, now the other team knows we will take our shots, thus opening up the ground attack. We are obviously putting all our money into our running backs pockets, now lets help them earn it, and take some shots down field.

Give Henne time and I think he will win everyone over. He has to get use to his receivers, the line has to get use to his cadence, and the game has to slow down for him. Henning needs to modify game plans for the long ball now, this will open up the field for our offense.

He will have growing pains. Both Manning brothers sucked it up at first. Rivers was just average at first. Sanchez is looking average - they're winning on defense. Flacco struggled last year. Matt Ryan did look good, but didn't force things and let the RB bear the weight. Terry Bradshaw was horrible his first few years, then look what he became.

Just a few examples of how you get your franchise QB.

If Henne was a real QB he would have won the job already, not by default.

Henne is a second year QB that the team has been trying to groom under Pennington. He couldn't have won the job no matter how good he looked in camp, preseason, etc. Get a clue.

Except those "franchise" QB's took the team by the reigns from the moment they were drafted and didn't just fall into the position when the #1 was injured. BIG difference.

Where's the clue Cleo? if he was that impressive he would have took the job from Pennington. Best man wins the job and plays on the field, no.
