Now we need a youner OC to go with our new DC!

i dont care about the age of our DC and OC long as they can do a good job we probably wont be finding a new OC untill next offseason unless Henning does a great job next year

Henning did fine w/o any playmakers. Get a couple good WR & maybe 1 superstar you will see a diif O & OC IMHO

I got two for ya George Stewart WRs coach for the VIKINGS...and my favorite to bring here is Curtis Johnson WRs Coach for SAINTS...he has developed some great WRS and worked under offensive genious Sean Payton...check them out and tell me what you guys think

I agree with PHINATIC8U theres no rush to changing our OC Henning right now...you're right he did make best with what he got...Ronnie goin down hurt him and the fact Haynos couldn't fill David Martins shoes...I want to see what he can do with Henne for a full season with, New TE, and New # 1WR...and building a better repore with Bess, Camarillo, and Hartline.

We'll be fine with Henning for another season or two. I do hate him, but we won't have to see the offense on the field nearly as much next season, assuming Nolan gets this defense in check.

Henning's only problem is he tries to get to cute on occasion. Sparano must have reeled him in because after the 2nd Bills game, they disappeared.

I think as much as we all bashed henning last yr, myself included he did pretty darn well with what was given to him. Every OC makes some bonehead calls, I say he deserves one more hot this yr.

Henning's style of offense does not do well if the defense is giving up points almost every drive. Run the football, control the time of possession is his style and when the team was giving up 25+ points he didn't have the firepower always to compete. I do think he will have more firepower next year with the continued development of Henne, the return of Ronnie and likely some new targets in the passing game. Still though, the main goal will be to run the ball and hold onto it as long as possible.

The hiring of Nolan should really benefit Henning's style of play on offense. If we can play good defense and force more turnovers, Henning will have a good offense. Henning did well in 2008 because the defense did not open the flood gates. It is hard to run your offensive gameplan when you are always playing catch up.

I am OK with Henning for one more year, and then going younger for 2011 and beyond. If all goes well, it will probably be an in-house promotion of Lee of Dorrell.
